Home stretch boyos. I'm still committed.

But I did buy myself a bottle of Tequila today to enjoy on Halloween night at midnight.

I'm only going to let myself drink on the 1st and 15th of every month. Time to make a committed change and have discipline. Drinking every day is not fukkn it boyos.

Love this idea mang, das it.

I WOULD agree but I want to be able to drink at social events, holidays, which won't allign at all with the 1st and 15th most of the time. I think a strict rule like "no more than twice a week, no exceptions, even for vacations or holidays," should work.

Due to Sober October I can't drink for the next two weekends which sucks, but what can you do. Still been doing things and going to bars without drinking anything.

I actually mostly ignore the rep system as a whole. No big thing. We’ll talk it over a bottle of nog.

So is this thing still going? Op is banned and all.

Yeah I’m sure op would want it that way lol.

Btw Do you still have the concert thread? Cannot find. I got my nose blooded up busted open thrashing at a friends local metal gig. Lol. I think I’m too old and out if shape for those mosh pit shenanigans. But I got some tickets to concerts coming between now and March. I really only got scuffled up bad one time at an Exodus concert. It was going to happen.

Just I do love live and loud shows! Enjoying at a distance next one.

Concert thread ^^^

The concert I took my sons to for their first one last weekend was a punk group, and I saw some scrawny guy with a mohawk get leveled by a 300 lb rough looking lady. Lol

I'm not sure if I'm missing out, but I never got the draw of mosh pits.

Thanks for posting link! I am also not into mosh pits. One time at a Papa Roach concert we were on the floor ga part not too far back and a mosh pit broke out right in front of me. I scooted back out of the way so fast! lol

I did it! Made the dip and didn't taste even a drop of it. It was a hit at party and I told them to keep what was left because if I brought it home I'd eat it. As I was leaving one of the hosts was eating the last of it. lol There were also cupcakes, brownies and cinnamon sugar dipping sauce for the pretzel nubs. Very difficult to see everyone eating those things and not having any but I stayed strong. One more week. I actually think I'm going to try to stay away from sweets going forward, except for special occasions like holidays and social gatherings/going out to eat.

Anyone else going to make this a mostly permanent switch?

Thanks big bae! You weren’t hardcore when I went to shows regularly unless you sported all black maybe some long sleeves with band logos buttons but you could definitely get away with not moshing.

I went to soulfly and six feet under with friends who didn’t take part in the rituals.

Man.

No alcohol
No sweets
No fap

Ok one of those I totally broke this month

Getting really bored of Sober October lol. Had a couple of close calls the last couple of days, but dangit it's day 24/31, didn't do all this just to get close, and do Sober October"ish" lol. Will reward myself with booze and pizza during the first weekend of November.

Congratulations!

No lie I made the switch back when I was in my teens. I know that sounds crazy, but it has literally become a habit of mine to seek out the "sugar free" , "fat free" , "low calories", or "diet" version of EVERYTHING. I'll be in line at a grocery store, with all that Hershey's, Reese's, Butterfinger, Snickers, etc. advertising themselves next to me, and I swear to god for the last 8+ years or so none of it is even remotely tempting to me, ever. I know it sounds nuts but I am more bothered by the unhealthiness from it, than I desire for it, that's for sure. I've noticed it doesn't even cross my mind as an option that is even available to me. And I still eat cake on birthdays, candy on halloween, eggnog and gingerbread on Christmas.

Yeah I can't stand any of the artificial sweeteners so I won't be doing any alternative sweets. I'm just going to be really strict now and not eat them every weekend like I did before. I'm not even doing this for weight loss, only to be healthier overall.

9 weeks and counting!

I was a little concerned where I had a business trip last week. Trade show had free beers everywhere, everyone walking around catching a buzz...
They had a dunkin donuts in one of the buildings so I got a coffee and sipped that. Went to a fancy restaurant for steaks and seafood one night. my colleagues were both sipping wine, meanwhile I'm hammering root beer straight outta the bottle haha the waitress loved it

This weekend I picked up some seltzer water- lemon flavor and lime flavor. been mixing half and half over ice and sipping that. more interesting than normal water and probably better for me than drinking 10 cups of coffee per day like I have been doing.

Thanks guys! Back on the wagon this morning - water and healthy food too to atone for all the awesome pasta and Korean BBQ this weekend lol. Wife and I talked about doing a "NO"vember to keep the momentum going, we will see.

And I'm the one at the concert who STARTS the pit, srs. And the first stage diver if there isn't a barrier. Push pit and circle pit only, no fukking karate in the pit.

Anyone going to Halloween parties this year? I wonder who's going to consider October 31 "good enough" and who's going to last all the way to November lol.

I am a small woman so no mosh pits for me. I'd be dead. lol

I had my Halloween party Sat. Had to explain why I wasn't eating any sweets. I'm like you know how people do sober October? Well I'm doing that as a no sweets option. lol

2 pounded chicken breast grilled

2 cups of Kale massaged with evoo and a bit of lemon juice

Diet iced tea

100% dark chocolates for dessert

My tastebuds love all that stuff now.
Protein fluff is a little whipped cream like stuff that’s good on protein pancakes or pb chocolate oats

But foods like those render candy or fudge etc obsolete

I slipped earlier in the month and had a case of the phuckititis and drank a few times socially. Straightened myself out on 10/17, and started 75 Hard last Thursday. So, I'm on day 10 and will be on the wagon for awhile.

Well they would only count if you had given them up for the month.

Hey I did just go without them though. It’s been awhile because before covid I’d dine out regularly and when others in the party ordered dessert I’d cave in. But there hasn’t been as much of That since. I had a few lemon square in July but was pretty much sugar free . And carbs in general kelt between 15-30 grams or less per day. Which just came from frozen fruits or fresh bananas.
It’s all good I mean The months of October-December never mixes well with avoiding sweets and feasts and booze of course...

Do you have any hobbies? Anything you wanted to learn? There's lots of ways to fill your time besides going to bars.

i'm out boyos

had a couple or 8 beers at a friends wedding over the weekend and did some jager bombs last night

fairly proud of myself from going from 5 or 6 shots of jager in a night to sober as judge for the better part of 4 weeks
Come on boyo, hop back on it. You've got 5 more days to finish strong

Misc was down so long tonight that others are saying elsewhere that bb.com finally pulled the plug on us.

Made me think.... Can anyone imagine a no misc month? Basically you gotta not login, post or lurk the forum for 30 days. Can you do it?
