I have not played too many horror games, but RE7 scared the pants off of me. Especially with a dark room and such. I used to think RE4 was scary but I no longer do.

Dogs jumping through the window was a classic. Still remember that to this day from the original.

Call me a pussy but I can't play scary games. Hell I remember playing Deadspace when it came out, made it 5 hours in and noped tf out.

Tried a few RE and nope.

Headphones on, all the lights turned off, hell nah! lol Heart attack from all the jump scares and tenseness.

No I feel ya I have to take breaks every hour or so, but still have fun playing them, well maybe not fun, but they’re not boring lol

Phasmophobia is underrated.

I'll mention Bioshock too because it scared the chit out of me as a kid.

Amnesia the dark descent is a classic, aged better than some horrors I think.

Got like 4 hours into second one now, it’s disturbing asf, rape torture killing babies. Chase sequences are annoying though. Start chasing you and you have no idea where to run, run into dead end die and have to repeat until you figure the right way out.

Silent Hill is the only game to really creep the fuk out of me, though I have not played many of the other games suggested in this thread. Dead space sounds like it’s worth a crack.

As much as I luv the RE series I never found any of the games especially scary.

This right here. Bio shock 1 was scary. Outlast 1 was terrifying as Phuk but once you understood the game and realize NPCs can’t touch you in certain moments it not really scary. I thought Outlast 2 sucked.

I don't understand the votes for Bioshock, you are too powerful in that for it to be scary, plus you are literally immortal.
