Watched Old Henry this weekend (new 10/10 film)
Best new movie I've seen in five years at least srs.
It was actually a Miscer that posted the trailer to this movie a couple of weeks ago, so show yourself for reps.
It's a 10/10 movie for those who hate these chitty new movies being made in the modern era.

I saw it and thought it was pretty good. Tim Blake was perfect for this movie.
One question to those who have seen it.

It may have been a tattoo that represented Billy the Kid’s gang. Or maybe it was just the device the filmmakers used to clue us in that the sheriff recognized Billy from the fire/Billy’s ostensible death.

Stephen Dorff is so underrated. I feel like Blade gave him a great spotlight but wasn't the right vehicle for highlighting his talent.
Will watch, op.
Will watch, op.
The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

It was good. But far from a 10/10. The reveal was a little too hokey for me. He could have just been some retired badass and it would have worked for me just as well. Just happy to watch a good western. Really had a difficult time getting over watching Trace Adkins.

Mighta been me, I've been recommending it to everyone I can lol.
First western I've seen in a while that didn't suck. Loved the reveal.

However im kinda with the above
It's a fine movie and overall I enjoyed throughout, but was not quite 10/10 to me
The story and premise behind the movie is 10/10 but hokey is the perfect word for some of the scenes
Possible spoilers but aint puttin em behind tags, fair warning
When Henry snuck sniper style into earshot early on and the gang was still tracking Curry, they were able to hear from some distance some subtle rustling alerting them that something was near, but somehow missed him sneaking back out and full sprinting his horse away? In a wide open field? And the tracker who could "track a fish in water" missed all this too? K den
During the initial stand off at the final scene, Henry is able to quickdraw headshot the leader, but not one of the other hired guns are able to connect with one single shot out of the dozens fired while Henry slowly and lazily lists to his left down the porch? Hokey
On that note, we have the Henry quickdraw face shot, his ability to pick off numerous hired guns under duress with remarkable accuracy immediately after, shoots a knife outta the Mexican tracker's hand...
Then has to spend 10m and double digit shots hunting down the leader in a forest of only telephone pole sized trees to hide behind. Did he not have aim assist enabled then maybe?
As far as the reveal and discovering the brand on Curry, I took it as while Curry had been a sheriff from where he claimed, he had since fell in with the gang and was in fact one of them but had defected with the loot from the bank robbery
He wore the brand as it was required to ride with the gang
