I love my life, and you should probably love yours too [Positivity]
It's easy to get caught up with the internet, the news, the social media. Getting smitten with anger for one reason or another, especially when focusing on politics or social movements. Getting jealous of what others have and how positive people's lives are in the highlight reels of their social media. And then surrounding yourself with negative people, or habitually reading into echo chambers of negativity.
It's a nice day outside. I'm in my twenties. I'm not quite at my peak physique but I'm certainly leaner than I've been the passed few years on average. I've got zero debts. If I lost my job randomly I could make it for a year or 2, and multiple years on top of that if I was okay with withdrawal penalties from retirement accounts. Some of my investment prospects have gone negative lately, and I'm not panicked over that. I like my hobbies and activities, love my friends and family. The world outside is still beautiful. I went outside around some nature for a cigar, something I like to do twice a week or so, and the world hasn't changed compared to if I were in that moment smoking a cigar 5 years ago, or even 15 years ago. And it's great to remind myself that nature exists and life is beautiful. The earth hasn't really changed. People have changed, and focusing on others is what leads to a lot of negativity.
I don't want to look back years from now regretting being caught up with the negativity and moods that the social climate dictates or impacts people with. This right now, life as I know it, is a chapter in my story, and this chapter will eventually end. How will I look back at that chapter? As a victim of social media and social climates, negative minded as a result of society's latest struggles? It's within my own self and abilities to control how I think or feel, what I do. There's great relief in that acknowledgement in itself, not everyone on the Earth is in a location or with the finances that enables them to even do that. I'm not a lottery winner, nor a celebrity. Didn't, and won't, have financial aid from family. But it doesn't make my life any less special or fun.
I challenge you all to remind yourself every day, and to even say aloud, "I love my life." The earlier in the day that you can remember to think and do that, the better your day will be. The more free-thinking, open minded, positive, and away from echo chambers (even when unknowingly entering them), you'll feel.

I'm financially pretty well set up for my age. No debts is nice. WFH is nice and beats the fuk out of roofing for a living.
But a pleb job is about all that's going right in my life. I lose 70% of my gross to taxes and rent on a 1br. I can't afford a house, I can't afford a new car, I can't even afford to go out golfing and bar hopping on the same weekend. I have pretty much devoted my life to careermaxxing and have very little to show for it. My dad had a higher material standard of living 30 years ago as a printer assembly line technician than I do as a graduate educated microcircuit designer.
I have no friends that live in this city. I've never kissed, hugged or held hands with a woman at 26. Literally 95% of my coworkers are H1-B Indians, and they are my only source of social interaction.
I am 5'7" and thanks to birth defects have the muscle tone of a 60 year old man. I can't grow a beard and have no chest hair. Need to go in for a checkup, but I suspect I have clinically low testosterone. I've been mistaken for a high school student at 25.
I don't like my life, and I suspect that most of you wouldn't like being me either. If we took the lives of a billion Westerners and ranked them by desirability, I am betting mine would fall in the bottom 5%. I've got a better life than cancer or dementia patients, but among wagecucks of any age, I suspect that most people would choose to live as a wagie who physically developed into a grown adult, regardless of what the rest of his situation was like.

Indulge in what you like to do. Indulge in how you like to think. Engross your brain in the activities and things that generate the most positivity for you. Surround yourself solely with that, and you'll likely start loving your life over time. So long as it's not harmful to yourself or others.

Das it meng.
On R/c
On R/c
The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

And I just mine when I have the free time. My peak BTC/24h was $13 in the last week, but it's more realistically closer to $8-10 srs. It is definitely much higher than my electric bill by itself, but isn't much to sneeze at... at least until BTC hits 6 figures or something. That's how I like to look at it at least. $8/day now could actually mean $100/day if I only sell when crypto prices zoom up years later. If they ever do.
