If I spent a fortune on a base model C8, I would be feeling like a real idiot right about now.

I would personally get the cheapest standard C8 with a manual and modify it with good aftermarket suspension, but my God that engine is perfect

1q6p5vlAWEs
Yeah with the new Z06 they finally came up with an engine that can truly compete with the European exotics. The flat plane crank is a game changer, Chevy V8's have always been really old school pushrod V8's, and they usually relied upon supercharging to give them lots of power, which resulted in a relatively low revving engine with huge torque figures.
With this new Z06 they have a truly high-revving NA V8, which just so happens to be my favorite type of engine. I got something like that in my Ferrari California, but the 4.3 V8 in that isn't nearly as powerful as this, but having had a Trans Am WS6 I can easily say how there is no comparison between pushrods and a nice flat plane, comparing apples to oranges. I mean the pushrod has that real "throw you in the back of your seat" low-end torque, but there is nothing like revving out a flat plane V8, and they love to rev and be driven at high revs.

If I did one, I would get one of Ford’s EcoBoosts like Chelsea did with a Notchback and have all of the custom suspension made for wide angle steering.
Check @ 06:00 to 08:00 when they are dialing in the fuel, he gets the 2.3L torque line to peak near idle with just boost!

It would be really cool to start seeing some sort of liquid cooling ie. a radiator on electric cars that can cool down the batteries to keep consistent power. While 1/4 mile and 0-60 times are awesome, it's always been kinda boring IMO. More interested in tracking vehicles where there are trade offs between power, braking, handling etc to take into consideration.

BRB my 6,000 pound Tesla popped all of my tires at turn 5 because it weighs 3x as much as any other car on the track
BRB the monolithically designed electrical system had a cigarette lighter failure, locking me inside because the shaved door handles can’t be opened from outside
BRB I am burning alive but at least everyone online knows I own Tesla and trade crypto
Corvettes have had double wishbone suspension for decades.

That said a Tesla would be a boring as phuck car to take through the bends, and they don't handle well as they weigh multiple phuck tons. The Tesla roadsters are an exception, but then again the original wasn't exactly blazing fast and the new one costs as much as exotics.
