Stone cold Steve Austin has a brand of beer called Broken Skull. But it’s not made it’s way to the shelves in my neck of the woods.

He is the man i have wanted to have a dream beer with. It’s be the next best thing trying his ipa. But can’t get either now so I’m good I guess.

Out as of 10/29.

Stayed at a fancy hotel recently for an event. Decided that 28 days and some change was enough.

I figure it's okay too because I'm actually working every day for the next 12 days. Meaning I don't plan to drink for the final day of October as well as the first 11 days of November. As far as I'm concerned, I accomplished Sober October and am doing EXTRA by having the first almost 2 weeks of November being sober.

Das it mane.

Props to all who make it all 31 days, as well as those who messed up but jumped back on the band wagon.

Season of youth football wrapped up today and at the game I had a gushy hotdog and 2 chips more. Now I’m enjoying an animate Batman marathon and craving a big ass onion blossom with a side of 16 Oz. Sirloin medium well and 12 Oz prime rib ....rare. Very bloody. Juicy.

This was an easy month for me as I only went to like 3 social events (a couple family/friend dinner parties, and a wedding). There was no alcohol around in either, but I haven't drank in months anyways, so yeah, no problem. Halloween will be nice, just binging on horror movies and passing out candy, and I might have a couple friends over who are also sober individuals. Should be a good time.

Key for me is lots of bike riding and general fitness/exercise. I plan on staying sober throughout november, december, and I might even push this thing into 2022 unless I get invited to a bar or something. Last time I drank was in like June (with coworkers after work at a bar obviously) and I haven't had the urge to have a beer again. Never enjoyed the effects TBH. I've always been more into THC, that's more my "cup of tea", but I haven't touched that stuff since like late August as well. Feels good, mental and physical clarity.

Congrats to all who made it this far....only a couple days left for y'all. I Know my life would have been a lot better and I would have stayed away from the gambling and saved a **** ton of money if I wouldn't have been drinking.


I've determined that for me gambling and drinking are extremely connected. Very rarely will I gamble if I am not drinking. I'm going to try to make it thirty days alcohol free starting today. I hope there will be another sticky thread for No Drink November.

What types of gambling mang?

I tend to make some riskier plays with the stock market when alcohol is involved. I'll read up some ideas about why a stock is going up, or why a crypto is going up, and then I'll usually default to just wanting to "pretend" I invested and follow it the next week, being happy I didn't invest, or wishing that I did depending on how it plays out. Alcohol gets involved and my brain is on the subject and I might buy in with a few hundred, or even $1k-3k and sign up for a ride that I wouldn't have if I was sober.

Pretty easy somehow. This was the longest I've gone without drinking in years. I'm gonna drink next Friday and then probably go back to not drinking.

Well in the past it has been blackjack(cards) at the casino but since I banned myself from there and they caught me going back after I had won 14 grand one night and drew attention to myself I am never allowed back there until I write the manager of the casino(something I won't do). But in the mean time there are slot machines here in my town at bars that I go to and play...absolutely horrible man. Some of those ****ing things just EAT the money and I still sit there like a dumbass and let them.

Yes, I've been there. I still remember when I was drunk one night and bought 4 grand worth of bitcoin one night when I was drunk. Hilariously enough(go figure), it plumetted like 15 percent within the next few days and I sold right then and there. Hahhaa, if I would have held I would have had a lot of money(at least a couple grand profit).

A little over a month until I hit 3 years alcohol free. I kinda feel like I'm cheating being in this thread since I don't have the cravings anymore, but I also think it's good for me to get in on any alcohol free threads.

This is so awesome! good for you! I don't think it's cheating at all being in the thread.

Stopped at the store on way home from dinner and grabbed a bag of Kit Kats just in case I got some kids trick or treating. They sat in a bowl in front of me the whole time we watched the movie. No kids came though.Did not eat even 1 and sent them home with my son. lol

TBH it's very easy to build an argument that alcohol shouldn't be legal if weed is illegal. You can OD on alcohol, but not on weed. You can get into car accidents, get into fights, due to alcohol, but weed doesn't have that affect usually.

Alcohol being illegal would cause underground black markets and home-brewing to be pursued. I think a better answer is education. Teach the world the woes and evils of alcohol. Preach it in every form of media. Shame drinkers at all levels, even in Universities and their Greek Lives.

EDIT: Give it the same level of treatment as tobacco in media and such, it'll die off.

You're right though..alcohol should be illegal if pot is illegal...there would be no more drunken fights/many relationship fights/drunk driving and killing people....not to mention the people who are ODing and ending up in the hospital. Horrible drug...alcohol.
