IN SHORT: Poor people, be poor pre 2010 style. Do it in style and be realistic. Whether you're scruffy, aggressive, bad mannered or whatever, just utilise your money and actually get the most fun out of it.

Like, when I was growing up, it was kind of hard to spot a poor person. (As youngsters, we all had torn clothes and did random stuff) How a person spends their money is everything. However, poor people pre 2010 were buying realistic things. Ie, makeup, random clothes, revving engines on kitted out cars, "hanging out", drugs, videogames etc. The makeup so they can look better, ideal clothes to cover their bodies, cars for leisure, hanging out for fun, drugs as to vent on their issues maybe, videogames as entertainment or to kill time. Nobody cared and we all got along as friends regardless of their wealth.

Guys often wore trackies, random trainers, hoodies etc. Girls had puffer jackets, hoop earrings, giant fake nails, ton of makeup. (Even though this is how I picture poor people, the style was fine and even rich people dressed the same.) E.g, steveo dressed casual during jackass and he's ridiculously rich.

These days, that's been flipped upside down. Poor people now have £1100 pretty little "iphones", £700+ outfits, "designer" everything, flatscreen TVs and garbage everything else. I just can't explain any of this. Their makeup/designs is a different story, but those rectangle eyebrows and whatever, horrific. They also try to flaunt their money in other peoples faces? Complete misuse of the money they have.



But seriously, poorer people were just plain poor before 2011ish, just getting around and trying to have a good time. They would fit in with people and nobody cared. Wasn't anything to overthink aswell, as it was the norm.

But yeah, the old poor people style. Looks a ton better than the current trash.

The phone thing bugs me a ton, even for financially stable people. Why is it imperative to have a phone more expensive than a car? I have never seen a poor person without the latest iphone.

Quick story: I was at a pet shop and the reception guy asked if some lady was covered by some pet care thingy. She explained that she is on the lowest tariff for benefits (I heard her explaining her whole life situation), the reception guy says she can claim the pet care offer. She then waps out a £1000+ iphone to jot down the appointment time. Crazy, but then she pays for something using a card from a designer purse?? As if??!!

Pre 2013 people were poor and they were honestly my good friends. These days I cannot stand the ideal modern "poor person".

Poor peopel always had nice things and zero savings, this isn't new.

Yeah it's absurd. Their mentality has completely changed. Like I said, the poor before 2011 wore £10 outfits and had a broken flip phone, honestly even the normal and rich were like that cos nobody cared. Now poor people live lavish lifestyles, sounds like a weird pride thing at most.

I saw a begger with some fancy smartphone. Whether that was a gift or not who knows. But what the **** is the dependency on these stupid little smartphones that are more expensive than solid cars????
