It's great that they seem happy. Great that the kids have someone there to provide for them and hopefully not abuse them.

But the he loves them like they are his own kids mantra is a bitt odd to me. He isn't their father. The mother shouldn't raise them thinking the step dad is anything other than that. It should be love, unconditional love, but not like a doting I'm your real father type love. I feel like that would create issues for the kids as they get older and mature and are able to kind of compute everything.

But hey, good for them.
