I’m living with parents. It has its cons but also my finances are growing nicely from investing most of my income. Might not be where I’m at today financially if I lived on my own.

It's typical for wealthy families to have their kids around as adults. Not so much when the parents are hard-working folks and see their kids as financial burdens.

I don't see an issue if the kid is pulling their weight and helping the parents here and there. Millennials and Gen Z kids will stay at home longer than any other generation. ded fkn srs

All my unmarried friends live at home with their parents, it’s just a cultural thing. Families stay together more, all work for the same family business, all very successful etc.

I live by myself but that’s just because I like walking naked around the house (srs). Plus nobody would take my huge doggo, basically moved for those two reasons. Banging Chicks wasnt ever an issue, I’d just rent a room

I could litirally ylive alone but I choose to give the money to my mom in terms of rent.

So I pay rent, I buy food all the time, I clean my own clothes, cook food, etc.

It's litirally like share accommodation except I'm with my mom.

I don't even care about girls anymore (I'm spiritually red pill) or other people...

There are plenty of cultures in other countries where people live with their family most their lives. It's only in Western society that its considered odd.

I personally don't see anything wrong with living at home if you have a good relationship with your family and they want you there and you enjoy being there. It's also just incredibly financially sound too. The main reason i see for moving out on your own is just for the ability to hook up with women. Outside of that living with your family doesn't hinder anything else. It slightly hurts thinking about the fact that i could be saving an additional $15k a year. That would double the amount of money i would be saving a year and just get to retire early.

Financially it can be a very smart to live at home with your parents for as long as you can


In my opinion though, there is more to life than how much money you make/save

To me the most satisfying part of life is being able to survive on your own and to enjoy the journey to either success or failure (but at least there's a journey here worth living)


The risk factor of being on my own if things go downhill makes me feel alive, and I wake up every morning more motivated to give it my all
(When I was living with my parents I was making good money,advancing career, but I just felt dead inside)


This is just my experience though, everyone is different

honestly if you made that much money why not just get a nice apartment next to the office, cut down on commute. you could have friends/people over and not worry about making noise and bothering your parents.

Im on the fence about staying with my parents or moving otu- obviosuly living with parents will benefit me financially, but it seems a bit like flushign your youth down the drain as well which is another valuable commodity you cant get back, maybe ill move out for a year and see how I like it and then if I dont think tis worth the moeny I can always move back in

If you've never lived on your own I'd say it's a good idea to try a year or even 6 months on your own

Best case is you really come into your own and your career advances enough that you don't even need or want to move back in with mom and dad

Worst case you just move back home with the added benefit that you would then appreciate everything your parents do for you that much more (also no longer feel like you were missing out on something)
