rifle range? So a few hundred yards, stay downwind, trace any tracks, basic hunting stuff.

It's not uncommon at all to hunt them with a high caliber pistol, it's done all of the time.

I would do it the same way we do everything else mainly, get a vantage point and start “glassing” with binoculars on a tripod to find them. Then make a move from there. I think brown bears are hunted from a boat quite a bit but idk

thats how you'd get to close range. You don't just stumble across them. You don't walk around with raw meat strapped to you waiting to get mauled. You track and hunt.

Awe fukk me for forgetting grizzlies are just hanging out in all corners of the country

Idk why dudes take so many multi mile hikes into a wilderness areas and scout months in advance?
Kill themselves with hundreds of feet of elevation changes on each hike/hunt...
Waste endless hours of glassing ravines, canyons, mountains to catch a glimpse...

so what are you saying. Hunting with with handgun you'd have some optics. You equate this to street shootouts where you see them from 20 ft and start blasting. It's the same as all other hunting. Spot, track, then sneak up as close as you can till you have a shot. Do I have to walk you through every step.

Yeah. Depending on the terrain, could easily spot one a couple miles a away also and have to move on it.

Truth is, you never really can tell what a particular round will do, and add shot placement and the fact that a grizz can kill you after even a perfect shot and all bets are off.

Not sure I'd bet my life on a double tap with a .44.

But I'd be absolutely floored if there are more than 1% of the people chasing grizzlies with the singular goal of killing a grizzly with a handgun each year
Obviously withholding the essentially 100% of dudes all packing handguns as a backup

If I'm wrong, I'll see my way out the thread

And to reiterate my overall theme -

There are <1% of dudes on the misc who could find the means to locate a grizzly anywhere in the world and then stalk it to within rifle range

Grizzlies? I don't know, I don't think there are many grizzlies harvested every year regardless of method

thats the challenge. Any simp can get in 300 yd range and snipe something. This is real hunting. Cleveland just delivered proof and you're still in denial
