Boomers want people back in the office

I'm finding it increasingly difficult to explain to boomers that people want to continue to WFH


Boomers want to be in the office everyday, boomers officels have no life outside the office and want to inflict this misery on all of us


What the fk do you do? people are quitting jobs and boomers still think we live in the 80s

25% of office jobs could just be cut from existence and have no effect. Of those 75% left, 25% of them should be re-wired. Everyone I know who works in an office has "looking busy" as their #1 task for the day. <10% of an office is doing 90% of the actual work.

Send 50% of the office home and explain that they will have to have a modified salary to compensate for their choices.
LMAO if you think these companies are going to keep paying people 100% salaries to send 5 emails a day from their couch. Clocks ticking on that timeline.

I'm in hybrid mode moment at the moment, and it irritates the hell out of me that I have to go into the office only to do what I can easily do from home. I waste so much time just getting ready and commuting to work. On days I WFH, I'm literally on the job 15 to 30 minutes after waking up. My productivity is definitely lower on days I go in. It's so stupid.

When I'm in focus mode this is definitely true, but sometimes mate, especially if you're just coasting one day, it's nice to have the option to wake up at 10, roll out of bed, and sit down at your desk in your underwear lol.

Yeah, I'm fortunate to have the option to come in or not come in.

How's it different than sending 5 emails from your desk in the office?

The boomers or whoever trying to force people back to the office are in for a reality check. I have absolutely no interest in commuting ever again unless I'm getting paid a lot more to do it.

I didn't want to go back into the office when my last employer started talking about returning - part was just being in, part was the horrible commute.

So I got a new job - been in the office for training for two months and honestly, I don't want to go back to working from home. I am much more productive at home, fewer distractions for my ADD, easier to get answers when I get stuck on something.

Yeah good luck negotiating that with your employer. It is different because they pay for that commercial real estate. Your azz in that chair ready to jump when they say to is the pay off for that real estate investment. Sure they could send everyone home and expect people to respond immediately to tasks. But what happens when the boss calls and needs X and Y done by 5pm? Everyone out walking their dog and masturbating at 4pm when that email goes out about needing to get it done ASAP. If you were all in the office, you'd be more organized and get the task done by 5pm, in theory. Its human nature to not work as hard from home. But this study shows and this survey says and I do all my work and can lay in bed just fine! Thats all B.S., lets get real. Officecels are fat, lazy boomers and entitled millennials that will take advantage of the system. Your boss knows that, which is why he has that azz in a chair by 9am daily.
