Stephen Hawking was a douchebag

Reading interviews with him he was so fukking smug and thought the world was there to kiss his ass. People just felt bad for him because of his disease, he wasn’t even a good communicator.

People who act like he’s a peer of Einstein/Bohr/Newton are full of chit.

he got famous and made a lot of books with his name attached to it. he has a public persona that had to be maintained


There is a lot of other crazy chit surround him. His first wife stayed with him a long time, she was with him from the beginning and also a physicists but he left her for his nurse and she was a wacko and physically abused him and chit but they didnt want that to get public. his kids with the first wife were talking about it and they had an ongoing feud. i think they divorced or were in the process of it.

a lot of background drama and all that.

He may have been a kunt, but he was a pretty fkin legit physicist and DEFINATELY was not dumb.

His pseudo-merging of GR & QM to prove black holes evaporate and emit hawking radiation, and are maximum entropy was a stroke of genius. He was actually trying to prove black holes didn't evaporate lol, but as a true scientist he went where the math/data told him to.

He made significant contributions but yeah he's not on Einstein/bohr/newton level (although bohr is not on einstein/newton level either, but hes still a pioneer of physics), or close. I don't think anyone who's educated in physics would compare him to them or any other legit pioneers of physics.
