I played some of portal last night, the concept is cool but the gameplay feels like **** so far, it even has hitmarkers stolen from that free to play game warface lmao. This game makes Vanguard seem like a well polished and 10/10 game. Its not unplayable or anything but wtf is going on at Dice?

Played the game and will answer in a non-fanboy/non-hater vibe:
Pros:
- Game feels good, gameplay is fine
- Specialists seem to be doing their jobs without breaking the game (If you liked black ops 3 or if you don't care about Vanguard's character system then it's almost the same thing lol)
- Some maps are really well made
- Guns feel good but i wish there was more variety
- Vehicles handle well, taking out choppers isn't too difficult but it's not easy either
- Woke culture is toned down a bit compared to Vanguard which has a black woman dressed as a german rocking an MP-40
Cons:
- No scoreboard is retarded
- I wish the customization options were a little more easy to navigate, feels like a chore atm lol
- Connection issues in the servers but curiously all the big streamers play just fine smh
- I wish there was more guns
- Some balance issues with some guns makes ARs totally useless considering the maps are so big, especially if you can be assault/engineer/medic and rock a semi auto sniper rifle
- No definite roles makes it difficult to know who's doing what in your squad which makes team play more difficult than it needs to be
I'd give the game 6/10 for now until they fix the issues and improve the game as a whole, it's playable and it's still fun, but i was expecting a more refined game. Compared to Vanguard ? They're both on the same ball park in terms of unpopular changes.

Can't play today cuz I'm working overtime but did get a chance to play the opening intro bots Conquest round. I had a good time with that tbh. Hope some of the issues people bring up get ironed out. Lack of scoreboard and lack of all chat is super disappointing to hear though.

Portal seems to be fantastic though.
The game just looks like an unpolished turd and it'll take months to get it looking like an actual full game. The reviews on the last page sound fair though. Looks like a 6/10 game that has the potential to be a 9/10.

The graphics look chit af probably due to the huge maps and 128 players they had to downscale everything

Hardly hitting 50fps on medium settings on 1080p WITH A 6700XT

So I installed the 10 hour trial of the game since I'm already an EA Play member, I played 30 minutes of 2042 and immediately uninstalled.

Why are the maps so chit? Everything feels the same, just a giant open area with some empty buildings, nothing whatsoever feels "memorable". I actually don't mind the gun play but everything else feels like ass. I've learnt my lesson this time, never again.
