Dune was actually sick, don't know why someone said it was bad here

First - I watched it on my brand new home theater, I did a ton of researched and dropped about $2,500 on home theater speakers so I had a top end audio system, the whole ****ing room was rumbling with the bass. Second I have a 4k projector and a 110ish inch home screen so... it was basically home theater style.

That being said, it was sick. I'm guessing if you watched it on a smaller TV without great audio it wouldn't be as impactful but they did a TON of things right.

Every actor was serious and tough feeling, which is exactly what I love. It was like Star Wars if they had more serious and tougher actors instead of the corny disney bs they do these days.

Was legitimately happy with it.

Yeah, the audio person definitely loves their job but I liked that. Intense audio on it. Same director as Sicario as well, I think.

Pics of home theatre?

And the movie was designed to be seen on a big screen with great audio. I really enjoyed it. Visually one of the best in years.

loved it, but would have been better as a tv series, too much content to cram in 1-2 movies.

Imagine liking half of a movie when you paid full admission

3 hours of ur life staring at sand and everybody in same uniform.

Any memorable dialogue?

Any memorable scenes?

Any great story arc?

Any great ending?

Any emotional fulfillment?

Any thing other than director putting his balls on ur forehead and fukked ur eye balls until u loved it?

It wasn’t bad imo. I’ll watch 2 but hope there’s more action, it was a bit too boring.

Watched it in Dolby Theaters then watched at home on HBO Max and it was like watching two different movies. I can see people who watched it at home saying it was bad because of crappy tiny tvs and cheap audio.

Movie was awesome, they are building the storyline. Part 2 is going to be filled with Alot more action.

It's not visually appealing just yet. Just some big ass expensive speakers, and a projector screen on a wall. Still trying to figure out how to make it look sexy.

Yeah exactly, it's all about how you watched it. Story wise, it was good, not flawless, not the best movie in a decade but visually it was stunning, like... really impressive on a big 4k screen.

Lol.

It didn't have a crazy satisfying story line, to me it felt like the intro to a trilogy, like a fish hook, just reeling us in for #2. However what it lacked in emotional stories, it made up for with absolutely insane visuals, serious acting, and intense as **** audio. I also thought it was pretty creative in a lot of ways.

Agreed, but I really doubt that they could put that much visual effort into a series, budget probably wouldn't allow for it. But... I'd love that, yes.

not bad

but once again

the jew media

has the bad boy white male front and center as the enemy

with some minority female person of color as the savior fighting back against their white male oppressors...

the opening first 5 minutes were awesome. Down hill the rest of the time. Turned it off after they made Kynes a black female (just LOL)

what hooked you?

the amazing cliffhanger? lol

the amazing character development that you can't wait to see again? you don't root for the main character at all because it was done so badly. no coming of the age angle. just a young boy walking around looking autistic with slow mo. it may appeal to ped0phile demographic tho.

it was just garbage.

Yeah, that propaganda stuff normally annoys the hell out of me, and I can't stand it. However I didn't notice it TOO bad in this movie, it was enough where it didn't make me think too much of it.

Remake of an old movie I'm pretty sure, never saw the original.

Lol. What hooked me was just the visual and audio aspect of it. The story wasn't that bad either, honestly, it would be hard to REALLY pull me into a character these days with a movie and just 2 hours. Series are getting good, it takes a lot of hours to really be attached to someone, but it wasn't bad. The story was interesting.

I also liked that nobody seemed to over-act things. As in.. Star Wars is complete cringe these days, cheesy unrealistic acting and casting, SJW in every single scene. I got Star Wars quality audio and visuals with more serious acting.

I'm not saying it's the best movie in years, but I'm saying it's one of the best of the year, solid movie, and thewayyou watch it makes a huge difference.
