I mean, universally kids laughed at nerds, ie, the "adults", desk workers or comic book nerds. Guys these days are striving for that look?

You do realise fox racing is used in mainly mx sports. Affliction old mma? Dunno how they showcase the bullying type.

Obviously, I'd like to avoid making stereotypes but where I'm from the types of guys that wear affliction were also the types of guys to have barb wire tattoos, run their mouths, and get into fights. I could let it slide if you wear this stuff as a kid, I wore a lot of skateboard clothing as a kid (DC, Etnies, Vans, Osiris, Hurley etc.) But once you get past 20 it just isn't a great look.

Ohhh right I see, yeah I've seen that kind of stereotype, ie, the Jersey Shore guys in 2009. I don't know, I guess my brain is wired differently to people, I will always think that style is awesome even in 20+ years or 10 years ago. Crazy how people's minds are swayed by present culture/what others are doing.

Hmmm, I just can't see how wearing the plain stuff posted above is ideal for guys 20+. It looks too fragile and girly to me. Like, compare that to the 2009 Jersey Shore guys (who I think were all 25+?) and they'd just tear them in half.

You as a kid sounded like you just enjoyed doing stuff, fast forward to now and it seems like you're trying too hard to fit in.

I cringe at people wearing clothes that advertise brands with a huge obnoxious logo.

That chit was started by rappers and the hip hop culture, yikes.

Went into Tommy Bahama yesterday. Spent $250 on one pair of shorts and a silk shirt.
That’s as bad ass as I get. In Florida that’s equal to a suit.

I don't know, my shirt could have a picture of a bus shelter on it and I wouldn't care. Again, I just own a lot of clothes, and pick out one at random. The clothes in the picture isn't a representation of what I wear day in day out.

Like today I'm just wearing a stripey vest.

See, it even has a nice little shark on it
Probably costs £3, meanwhile you guys are chasing designer plain trash that costs £150+.

I just don't get it.

Bump.

Still wondering whats going on. Pre 2011 was so damn creative. Guys these days look like literal nerds in their smart, neat, tidy, "mature", plain attire. Pathetic.
