Work Might Mandate Vax

Just had a one on one conversation with my HR director about my thoughts on the vax and she told me they might mandate it soon, so wanted to give a heads up…

44 employees at my job, so I thought I wouldn’t have to worry about it… she asked if I would quit if I had to get it and I said I’m not sure, haven’t really thought about it.

Wtf am I supposed to do if I decide not to get it. Who’s hiring an unvaxxed person at the moment? Smh decisions decisions

If you choose to stay, you know where you stand and what they think about you.

Why would they be demanding the vaccines now? What’s the reasoning behind it? Most companies don’t give a fukk by now. I’d assume it’s for the company’s healthcare company and higher premiums?

I told her that the vaxxed can still get and spread it and she said she knows that and doesn’t agree with mandates either, but they might “have to” and we can’t have company parties filled with some vaxxed and unvaxxed which brings me back to my point of anyone can spread it lol make it make sense

Already have done that prior to Delta and it was fine. Told her my dad had an allergic reaction to something in the shot so didn’t feel comfortable getting it because I have weird skin issues like him and I don’t mind telling that to people.

I can almost guarantee you that’s it’s all about the company’s insurance premiums going up if the company’s employees aren’t vaccinated. Have people in the office been getting Covid lately?

Got mandated for my workplace, already vaxxed since weekly testing was annoying so eh; plenty of people talking a big game about how they will quit or be fired before getting it (vaxxed by Jan. 8). I doubt any will, job pays too well and where is there to go anyways, most places require it now anyways.

"might have to" isnt a good enough excuse as to why you no longer have control over what goes into your body. Ask for the specific reason, then talk with the person involved with that decision. HR lady sounds like the middle man.

Next time they ask if you'll walk respond with a yes. They are testing the waters to see who will walk if they implement it. Give them reasons to second guess. For all you know it's literally the boss's liberal wife scared that he'll get sick, so she wants everyone vaxxed. You never know who's sick twisted mind is in charge of decisions.

Let them fire you and then get a fully remote position elsewhere. Biden’s mandate has failed in court and will likely continue to be shot down by future legal challenges. OSHA is no longer enforcing what they said they would, which regardless would not apply to fully remote workers. The only reason you might have to worry about this is your private employer does in fact have the right to set their own requirements. Just know if they hide behind the federal mandate excuse, it’s a load of bullchit. Don’t fret brah.

Pretty fukn dumb that I’ve been an essential worker during the whole pandemic, and it wasn’t an issue that I wasn’t vaccinated when everyone was panicking during Delta, and now things have slowed down/people are just over covid and don’t give a fuk anymore, but now it’s a possibility I might have to get the jab or lose my job

I’m 100% prepared to walk out and not budging

I tell you my dad had an allergic reaction to it and that’s not a good enough excuse for you to back off?
