Went to school with a handful of pro Football (soccer) players in the UK. Don't have much of a friendship with any of them now though.

back in 2009 when i was trying to walk on to my Uni's team i had hit up D1 sports and went there for about 2 weeks to train.

lo and behold i got paired up with jeremy jarmon, the UK DE.

he got drafted, played for the skins and bucs i think but had a bad knee injury and that was that and went in to broadcasting afterwards.

also while there i saw reynaldo hill working out. also the owner Will was a former UT linebacker. good times.

edit: played HS football against dejuan tribble. i think he went on to BC and then the chargers for a season or two.

Yes.

One of my best friends pitched for the St. Louis Cardinals. Some of the stories he tells about the locker room will make you laugh until tears come to your eyes.

Apparently pro athletes are absolute degenerates. LOL

I blocked a couple of Darryl Watkins’ shots back when I played his team back in 8th grade. He ended up playing in the NBA. He was around 6’8” at the time, ended up being 6’11”. He was lazy on court. Could have been much better with that size.

Yea my buddy is a pro hw boxer, hes from my country and trains in toronto. Hes moving to the states soon though.

Buddy from HS played with the Saints for a handful of years, is now a successful D1 position coach at a power 5 school. He was a year older than me, but you knew instantly when watching him that he was special. It def puts things into perspective how successful you need to be at sports to get to the elite professional level after being around someone like that

A friend of mine played pro soccer, was in the MLS on Kansas City and Columbus Crew.

Knew another guy who was a Wide receiver for the Saints and was actually pretty good. Oh yea Lance Moore



He didn't play pro but I'm friends with Al Washington who's one of the best young coaches in College football.

Coaches at Ohio State. I went to High School with him and had a bunch of classes with him through out the years.

I knew some from childhood that turned into NFL players. I spent time with strongest NFL player in history, Mr. Lyle Alzado. I wear his jersey to the gym. He was a beast. He punched the felon who used to rape me in the gut. Lyle helped me send that dirty hippie's delinquent ass to prison. That was possibly, the best moment of my life, seeing that disgusting hippie felled like the pussy he is with a mighty punch to the gut. Lyle was so strong that he could send a heavy punching bag across the room. I felt protected for the first time in my life. That's what it feels like to have a dad. I had never known such a good feeling. Now, Lyle is a arch angel and I walk in the protective shadow of his mighty wings. It's hard to see the other players as macho when I know what true machoness is. It's not giving a child rapist a free pass and telling the survivor to fight her own battles with her tiny little girl fists. Football is a team sport, NFL players should have a team spirit. Being macho means that you aren't afraid to kick some ass and stand up for the US flag, and american family values. That's what Lyle did. I love him and would marry him in a HEARTBEAT if he was still alive because he was a true man.

Played HS football with a former well known NFL player who ended up having an intermediate-level rap sheet. I know that doesn't really narrow it down but not trying to.

Played against Bruno Fernandes (Man United) when I was a kid. He was playing for Boavista, I was playing for Porto.

Yes.

I have a family member who played MLS.

I knew a 49er QB as I played tennis in college when he played football there.

I dated a guy who won the French Open doubles.

I also matched with a 49er, Seahawk and Cardinal on Tinder in 2014. I didn’t want to go straight to their hotel rooms as they wanted, though. I asked them to lift weights and they thought I was nuts lol. I really wanted to work out with them!

I used to work for a guy who played for the Spurs when he was younger. He was close to 7 feet and could hit a golf ball a fuking mile, had to aim corner to corner at the driving range and could still hit it out and over the road in back of the range if he wanted to.

same, pretty lulzy when I think about it though

always thought they where full of chit when they mentioned all the interest in them from big clubs etc. and a couple of years later you see them on the TV

we used to play dirty on the playground as well, could've ended those careers there and then if something went wrong lmfao

He was a left handed relief pitcher. Played for the Cardinals for three years. The pitching coach was old school and kept messing with his release, and caused rotator cuff issues.

Relief pitchers are a dime a dozen. Relief pitchers with rotator cuff issues don’t last long in the majors.

He’s a great guy. Very humble.

My Dad's law partner played 11 seasons in the NFL for the Bengals and played in a Superbowl. He tells some awesome stories- some about how the league is so different from today in that in the 70s and 80s, a lot of the players had off season jobs and that the most he ever made in a season was $300k (he was a first round draft pick and the captain of the defense). He went to law school in the off season and has been a lawyer for decades now. He gave me the movie "Concussion" to watch and told me about how he knew Mike Webster in real life, which made the movie all that more real to him.

Known a bunch of professional athletes. Feel really bad for a former NFL defensive lineman I know. 6'4" 320 pounds. Nice guy but really off sometimes due to TBI. Good news is he is fully aware of his problem.
