I, 100% know how to stop global warming.
The albedo of earth is like 31%
That’s like wearing a black shirt on a hot day directly in the sun.
What we have to do is start putting mirrors on every roof that wont effect every day life. Like only on tall building and chit. Maybe put some big mirror fields out in the desert. This will reflect most of the heat back into space. Problem solved.
You’re welcome for saving the planet.

Then I got older and realized the politicians that fear monger global warming domestically are all almost completely silent when it comes to places like China who pollute like crazy.
You can't preach the world is going to end 24/7 while simultaneously doing nothing legislatively to combat one of our biggest trade partners.

Doesn't the ocean already do that lmao?
Edit: Apparently it reflects some light but retains a lot of the heat anyways

I think we need a pandemic to thin out the herd ,as lowering the population would obviously help tremendously.
If that isn’t effective enough , roll out an untested vaccine to finish the job.
Wait wut?

I only have a 2 years of physics under my belt but I'm afraid that mirror fields wouldn't make a significant difference unless there were millions of acres of them. You're still heating up molecules in the atmosphere.

GRUMP's latest estimates indicate that ~3% of global land surface area is covered by urban areas. As 29.2% of the planet's surface area is covered by land, this means that 3% x 29.2% =0.9% of the total planetary surface area (incl. oceans) is covered by urban areas.
Importantly, the 0.9% figure includes roads, bridges and other infrastructure. I think my estimate is fair.
Note that this estimate is >50% higher than previous estimates which showed only 1-2% of continental surface area being covered by urban areas.
