I mean, it's tied to your gamertag. A new user, or someone where game pass has ran out, is best off buying 3 years of Gold for $5/month or $180, and upgrading it all to game pass ultimate for $1

Why do they have this chit for 3 months only? is there no way to get a 12 month sub digitally through an online store ? even amazon only has 3 month subs. Wanna get into gamepass pc


also on that note, is gamepass for pc worth it? I remember reading that gamepass for xbox has way more games than pc does?

max out your gold.... so get 3 years worth. Then upgrade all of that to game pass ultimate for $1. Then you are set for the next 3 years

I am not a pccel, but I have read game pass for pc has improved a lot, and keeps getting better. I think they recently added auto hdr to it. You can get 3x the 3 months, so 9 months total. in terms of game catalog differences, check outwww.gamepassport.net

Just switching from PC and Series X on that site... you get 377 vs 420 games. Definitely a big difference, but way smaller than what it was a year or two ago.
In terms of 75 and up metascore games, it's only a 16 game difference between PC and Series X.

I play almost exclusively on PC, I also play some on xbox and mobile. One of the reasons I keep it, is I can play a few multiplayer games with my kids (minecraft, sea of thieves etc) where I can login on my PC, and then login to my xbox under a guest account and be allowed to play games simultaneously and multiplayer.

Or you could just buy 12 months of gold from some country with a weak currency, redeem with a VPN and convert to game pass ultimate for $1
I got 3 years worth for about $5 AU a month.
