As America Devolves and the people getting Dumber. Is Having Guns Still A Good Idea?

Just read that story of the FLorida pregnant mother had 2 guys follow her because she hit a motorcycle with her car.

Because everyone has guns in the US, she sees the 2 guys, goes into house and grabs her gun with the intention to kill those 2 guys over $300 fender bender.

But of course the GUY had a gun and unloaded his entire clip into her first. Killing her and the baby over $300 fender bender.



As American society is circling the drain, people are getting more irrational, Brown, dumber and more angry. This is a toxic cocktail to have with guns. Do you still think it's a good idea ?

Way too many weapons in the hands of American citizens IMO. Idiots buying 5 guns a month and crap like that needs to stop.

Plus a lot of people don't have the emotional stability to remain in control in a dire situation involving deadly force.

Nah that’s just ignorant of history and the greatness this country was founded on. We need MORE guns. Criminals and idiots are gonna criminal either way, but an armed society is a polite society.

If you live in the US and haven’t bought a gun yet, find the most recent Ikeman thread and get yourself some protection.

OP wants to know if having the right to own firearms is a good idea if the world is getting worse.

OP, the world could have 3 good guys in it and it'd still be a good idea to have them armed. Will they die. Most likely, but they've earned a fighting chance, if for no other reason than they persevered and didn't succumb to Idiocracy. After surviving decades of watching people worship mindless reality shows and vote for dipsh*ts, I think they deserve for their final moments to be shooting a few of the viruses that made it all possible in the face.

It's still a good idea. The population is getting dumber, but they're not getting more violent. We ALL know which group is getting more violent, do not put everyone else (regardless of their stupidity) into the same group as that 13% or should I say 6%. Because of that group, everyone else needs guns. Stupid people don't kill. Stupid people can follow instructions and obey better than any smart person can. Violent and rachet people kill. If anything, gun control should be tightened for that certain group, but we all know that would be a civil rights disaster.

you also increase the chances of you and your family being shot living in a society that sells guns to anybody.

do you understand this fundamental fact? Living in a society with 300 million more guns is going to increase your chances of being shot.


Guns are illegal in China and Canada, homicide rate is very low.

You are 5 times more likely to be murdered. Let's say you carrying a gun helped you once or twice. you'd still have to protect yourself 3 more times just to be at the same level of safety as someone in Canada. The odds are not in your favor.

If she had any self control she would have stayed calm and realize that picking a fight with a stranger on the road is never worth it. Now she's dead and so is her unborn daughter.

Okay, next thing to understand:
correlation doesn't equal causation.

Are you saying that guns are the reason why the U.S. has a higher murder rate?
Like the very presence of guns is making people go, "ah, gee, I don't know what it is, but something about that 2A is just making me feel murderous"

She had options and she chose the worse one. That's all on her.


Your priority in any hostile situation is to always be on the defensive and pull yourself away from harm. She was at home, the guys weren't on her property, breaking into her house or anything. She got her gun and went outside at the group. Dont blame guns because a grown adult made a horrible decision.

When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.
