Especially Asians, I like to call it the covid price premium.

Times are tough and people are worried about the economy and job security.

It’s true but in most cases not deliberate. It’s called the affinity bias. We subconsciously tend to favour people who are similar to us. Most people in positions of power are still white men and thus will favour other white men. Which is why minorities generally have to work harder for the same results.

Opie was let go from his last job because he was suffering from dementia or some other mental problem(his own words, he made a thread talking about it).. Recently started working as a tradie. However is Asian and everyone knows when it comes to manual labor or tradie work, they are terrible. about as good as some African Americans...

Somehow every job i get stuck behind a female boss, and i swear they do chit to deliberately keep me down/stuck. They'll do things deliberately to frustrate me until like today I expressed some of that anger, then it's "oh wow, he's crazy, there goes his chance of moving up" by everyone that sees it. Thankfully i don't need to work, cause i save every penny and never spend since i started working, but it's still annoying, and i always empathize when someone goes berserk and makes it on the news. And it's not just me, saw this happen to other white guys in similar roles. Hate the world and everyone in it
