Which hormones to test?

I've never done any sort of test. Figure I should start now in my late 30's. Looking at:

Saliva test ($120):
- Testosterone
- DHEA
- Estradiol
- Cortisol

Fingerprick blood for Thyroid ($60):
- TSH Thyroid Stimulating Hormone
- Free T4, T3
- TPO antibodies

This panel is generally a pretty good one, used by a lot of bodybuilders in the UK.

It should give you an idea of what kind of stuff you want to see if you scroll down.

Also get a blood test, not saliva.

I also see some debate over saliva vs. blood for testosterone tests.

Do not get saliva or a fingerprick. Have the blood properly drawn and get a blood test.

Finger prick samples are notoriously unreliable, and often get damaged in transit.

Throw in some vitamin D while you are at it
"The flowers bloom, then wither... The stars shine and one day become extinct. This earth, the sun, the galaxies and even the big universe, someday will be destroyed. Compared with that, the human life is only a blink, just a little time. In that short time - people are born, laugh, cry, fight, are injured, feel joy, sadness, hate someone, love someone. All in just a moment. And then, are embraced by the eternal sleep called death."

Ye, I'm just going to go into Quest Diagnostics I think. Seeing bad reviews on these at-home tests.

I've been happy with this place:
https://www.ultalabtests.com/

They run various promotions if you care.

I like that the results are online and you can refer back to them easily.

Alright brahs, I'm looking at these 2:
-https://www.healthtestingcenters.com...thyroid-panel/

Do you reckon I'm good to interpret the results without a Doctor?

I have health insurance, but ordering direct w/ cash will still probably be cheaper (since it's a HDHP plan).

I think that 82% is bs (you see those "discounts" on most sites), but there's a 22% discount code.

Its worth adding health markers like liver and kidney function, blood lipid and sugar levels. That is WAY oversimplified buy you get the idea. If you make changes (including talking to a doctor about the effects of aging) its a good idea to track your health markers over time.

You print up your lab order, make an appointment with a local lab and go get your blood drawn or sample taken depending.

I've used them multiple times.

And you get the results stupid fast. I'm literally doing this on the 13th next month.

Still not clear. What's the "lab order" exactly? Just a list of everything you want checked? Who does the analysis?

In my case I make an appointment at the lab, literally just select "blood work". I then print out the form I get for my labs and bring it with me. 2 or so days later I log into my account and there are the results.

The lab only knows that they are taking blood when I make the appointment, the form you bring with you tells them what to do with it. They send the results to whoever created the lab order.

It's a fkn lab ,like quest

You've never had a blood test ?

Lab techs do the test ,instead of your Dr ordering the test ,you do it

Then Go and they draw the appropriate amount of blood

Thanks, the basic looks fine because many of the tests overlap with the advanced hormone panel I already ordered.

I think it is less expensive through this link with a different code; 50% off instead of 22% off. Need to place 2 orders to use 2 different codes.
