OT is kinda interesting, thats the one where they tell you exactly how many calories you burned right? people get hooked on tangible things like that.

My wife is DEFINITELY not overweight and she loves the cult of the orange light...She is a like a moth to an orange flame.

Its directly geared at women that want to work out in a club/DJ style environment.

Whatever motivates people to workout out is good thing if you ask me.

The one by my house is PACKED with hotties and there are always a few token men in there taking in the sights - LULZ.

If you are single you should be a coach. My wife tells me they get more attention then they can handle..

Bro there are people with diabetes that have lost limbs and have open and unhealable wounds that KEEP shoving junk food in their mouth.

You think a little Covid is going to motivate people...I wish you were right, but no.

Isn't it mostly heart rate zone related? I can see that being appealing. People like having targets when they work out, same reason I like power zone training.

Wouldn’t be a bad side gig tbh

Typical class is like 15-20 on a rower and 15-20 min of lightweight dumbbell exercises

Anyone remotely in shape can lead one of those. Every time I go I’m more fit than the instructor rofl

Because people do that and go binge eat and hit the bars afterwards. It attracts those types.

I know a lot of women who have dropped 30-40 lbs doing Orange Theory but it was tough to maintain the loss.

Several of them have moved over to the F45 branded gyms as there is more strength training in them.

I did F45 for 2 months and got in insane shape. Then I hurt my back doing the sled machine by putting on too many 45s, plus ropes, deads, good mornings, lunges, sit ups, squats and throwing a heavy ball over my shoulder. I woke up at 3am in horrible pain. This was 3 weeks ago but luckily I can still walk and I did light weights on the machines yesterday.

I’m 50 so that was too much for me. F45 has a lot of injuries so you have to be very careful, but it’s great HIIT and strength training combined.

Mark Wahlberg and David Beckham own the franchise.

One opened near my house a few years back. I had a regular full gym membership at the time.

It is one of the recent-ish specialized workout studio chains that have popped up. As I understood it you wear a heart rate monitor and it is focused on heart rate zones with music and a coach.

There a several franchises of this type under one umbrella company:

INTP Crew
Inattentive ADD Crew
Mom That Miscs Crew

Never heard of it but the target market would make sense. Most people who are fit and eat healthy are self-motivated and don't need group classes.

I haven't been near the ones in my city for a couple years, but in the past it was always hot college girls doing Orange Theory in my city. There's no better workout than HIIT for younger girls to look sexy.

Working out is overrated. Counting calories/Macros is underrated.

It depends on your location. In California they’re more fit than those in Kentucky for example.
