what is your worst investment ever?
mine has to be:
- 2 crypto altcoins i bought in 2017 named "Snovio" and DeepBrainChain". Lost 90% of my investment lmao. Snovio went bankrupt and vanished into thin air. lost 5k USD
- bought WISH stock 2-3 months ago at $7 for about 20k USD. this motherfukking chit company keeps reaching new all time lows. currently down -55% (about 10k USD) or so but im not selling either this chit goes bankrupt or rises from the ashes
honorable mentions:
- bought AMC at $14 earlier this year. Sold at $7 with -50% loss (lost 2k USD). A couple of weeks after this AMC moons several hundred % to $75
- bought TSLA stock for $600 for about 6k USD earlier this year. Sold with 10% profit recently. Two weeks after this Tesla moons more than 100% to $1250. guess what i used all the money i sold TSLA for? i put it all in WISH trying to "average down" lmao FML i suck at this
also i was in the original GME squeeze and at one point i was up about 80k USD but i did not cash out. cashed out when it crashed with 20k USD in profits

$RIVN.
Lost like $8kish investing in it on market open Day 1 at $112, and it dropped that day into the $90s. People, including financial analysts, were criticizing it being overvalued at the IPO price of $78/share, let alone the $105 it actually opened with. Then I sell, accepting the loss, and it zooms up to $175 within a few days. Unbelievable.
That was my biggest mistake. Thankfully I rebounded a week later by buying some options on $NVDA prior to its earnings report, making over $10k profit. But I'll never forget the feeling of $RIVN.
Now I'm currently $10k under playing options on the $AGC->$GRAB SPAC Merger, but I've doubled down to average down my cost basis, haven't sold, and have 2 weeks for it to rebound. Not a loss until you sell, is what I learned from $RIVN.

I've had a couple bad losses with Options. But I've also had some big gains, so it kind of equals itself out.

Drunkenly ought a box of 300 knives off of late night TV to sell. My rationale: "I could sell these for $2 a piece and double my money!" Ended up selling like 2 for a total of $30 and eventually giving the whole box to a friend.

Even though this one hurt the most it wasn't the worst in a sence - been into one or two rug pulls or other scams - part of the deal getting into projects early. Overall it has worked out though.

Bought a 30 pack and two days later it was just an empty box.
"To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other."-- Carlos Castaneda
