Police Officer has 13 yr. Old in Neck Restraint
Inb4 mass media coverage, not sure how recent this video is and I don’t know all the details literally just saw it a few seconds ago. Stupid decision on the officers part especially since the president passed a law that all “chokeholds and neck restraints” be prohibited for Law Enforcement

Any type of neck restraint is illegal now across the board. C’mon you can’t be this dense
There’s effective ways to segment a suspect without encircling their neck.

Baton Rouge police said Monday that the encounter stemmed from multiple complaints about a disturbance involving two families fighting in the area of 13000 block of Goodwood Drive, beyond the end of Goodwood Boulevard east of South Flannery Road. There were both children and parents involved in the dispute, and officers were summoned twice within 30 minutes Sunday afternoon, police said.
One of the calls involved people fighting with baseball bats. But the first time officers responded, they were able to de-escalate the situation without taking anyone into custody, police said.
The boy shown in the video was later arrested on two counts of battery on an officer and one each of disturbing the peace, resisting an officer and interfering with officers. He was released from juvenile detention Sunday evening, according to police. His female cousin was also arrested. She was accused of disturbing the peace and resisting arrest, then released into the custody of her mom without being booked into the detention center.
When asked to describe the alleged battery complaints that landed a child behind bars, Baton Rouge Police Chief Murphy Paul declined to elaborate amid the ongoing investigation. That doesn’t mean I believe this dude just strolled up and put the boy in a headlock though. He more than likely did do something. If not and I see that video I’ll call it like I see it.
These urban youths think they can get away with violence towards people even at young ages without consequence and that’s part of their problem here. That shiit needs to stop. They have to learn some way they need to keep their fukkin hands to themselves. I am simply out of give a fuks towards them or anyone doing the same.
I also have no sympathy for people on their way to hurt others. The point of the video was to point out that that your "cops don't just jump out and grab in a headlock" statement is sometimes wrong. This dude didn't even get the benefit of a headlock. Just mag dumped in his back/head.

The cop in ops video didn’t just jump out and do that as stated up above. Like I said, if he had and I saw that I’d call it like I see it.

There’s nothing even wrong with side chokes which he wasn’t doing worst that will happen is take a nap. (Unless ODing on fetanyl)
But you can’t remove an officers ability to head control when in a grappling situation. Just cuz the neck is there doesn’t mean it’s being squeezed but controlling their head is a number one priority after limbs.
You can’t make less lethal options less effective if you want them used more. Fuk the optics.
