I have a medical MJ license. Got it due to claims and diagnosis of anxiety.

If you can get the real chit that's actually tested and provides sufficient data/information about the product from a dispensary, and not have to buy from a sketchy dealer, I say go for it. Whether that means you have a medical card, or otherwise live in an area where it's recreational.

I got into it as a replacement for alcohol. Didn't really work though, still wanna drink sometimes. But I'll say when I smoke/vape weed I don't even have an urge to drink anyways throughout the high. So it works to an extent for that purpose at least.

Weed is proven healthier, with way less (or even nearly zero) carcinogens, depending on the ingestion method, versus tobacco. If you smoke it it's always very loud, leaving a potent smell for a long time though, bad for apartment living. But if you vape it then no neighbors or bypassers would have a clue. There's health benefits from it, but you can certainly also ingest too much and have anxiety or panic attacks. Ingesting marijuana also typically gives slightly higher heart rates and blood pressure for a time too.

Whenever I smoke weed I make sure to plan it around times where I know I'm not working, driving, or doing anything too productive. Though I know some guys in college who got high while studying for exams, and then got high for the exams and performed very well. Some people also swear by being able to do more reps and having better workouts while high too.

Weed gets you high. Tobacco gives you a slightly nice feeling head buzz for a solid 15-30 minutes, while keeping your head sober.

I will have to do more research about cognitive abilities and intelectual thinking how does weed affect that. If it has big negative impacts I wont continue taking it. I heard it does.

weed is going to be WAY less of a thing when its fully legal everywhere

its funny seeing people who dont know anything about it or havnt been around legalized states think its like alcohol when in reality weed is like 1/10th of alcohol its not something you have to "plan out" and make sure you dont have anything to do for the rest of the night lol

u can fix high tolerance by taking a long break however

i want you to avoid it. drugs and alcohol kill brain cells and let's face it, you're not that bright to begin with. you need all the brain cells you can get. you have none to spare.

I think there's some truth to the idea that weed promotes complacency and stagnance. You're high, you're fine. Srs.

If you treat it instead as a reward for being productive, or are the type of person where you can get high and studymaxx/improvemaxx, then it can serve as a carrot on a stick or otherwise as something to enhance your growth process. It's all about how and why you use it, and what you do with it.

Not for me

I've only smoked like a dozen times in my entire life (maybe) and every time I smoked i get hit like a freight train and cant even move off my couch for what feels like 8 hours.

Extremely high, extremely unenjoyable. I've never understood how mfers can smoke and still function because I feel trapped in my body, and feel so damn paranoid and cant even think straight.

I havent smoked in years due to this. I wish I could smoke and enjoy it like some so I could quit liquor. Liquor is brutal for your health

I've never been a weed smoker till recent. It's legal in MA and I get mine from a dispensary. I've been dealing with insomnia and it's gotten worse. I take just a few hits before bed and sleep like a baby.

If you smoke a dozen times and have that reaction a dozen times, I think you're smoking too much for your tolerance levels, srs. IDK if you finish an entire blunt, or multiple bowls, or whatever it is you're doing. But I would at least consider the idea that you might've taken too much given your tolerance, and to consider the idea that if you paced yourself, you'd have a better experience. Actual measurements should be taken at play when you ingest this stuff, srs. Treat it like a drug. You wouldn't take 5000mg of advil at once would you?

everyone in legal states who is a mature adult who ventures into THC has a lot of the same feelings. It has so many benefits, especially in the bodybuilding world, outside of being used as a "party drug" lol

Yeah and the people working there are so nice and extremely helpful. Like I said, I've never been into weed but melatonin just doesn't work for me. I don't like using over the counter sleep aids so I felt this was the best choice for me.

I've smoked weed like 3 times.

The first time I got super horny.

The second time I started seeing geometric shapes n chit.

The third time I passed out on the library parking lot and security woke me up. Lol.

Honestly don't know how yall can smoke that garbage and function. You should be a damn shamed of yourself.

You could try it and be fine doing it occasionally or you could try it and discover that it's your drug of choice and REALLY like it. The stuff can become HIGHLY addictive in a sneaky way. Don't listen to anyone who tells you otherwise. They're either in denial or they're one of the few long time users who are able to keep it under control.
