Literally no one I have ever seen in a Tesla ever drives it like that, they are all homosexual soyboys more concerned with huffing their own farts and feeling inexplicably, smugly superior, who stick rigidly to the speed limits.

How long can the tesla do that before the battery overheats and it goes into limp mode?

And that bike is built for circuit racing not drag racing. Change the gears and throw on an extended swing arm and it will blow the doors off the tesla. Tuned bikes are running 6 second quarter miles over 200mph on street tires.

Have you seen anyone going 200 mph or anyone do a burn out in a bugatti Chiron in real life?
Just because YOU havent seen it doesnt mean it doesnt exist.

Your logic is elementary school level. You admittedly state you dont understand the difference in the car types then go ahead and say things like you have never seen anyone put the foot down. Perhaps you have never seen a plaid in the wild?!?!?

BRB - drives around in a city full of mopeds (rome) and thinks man bikes arent fast......I have yet to see anyone fly by me at 200 mph yet.

Lol bro, there is no logic or argument here. Teslas are the big ghey and people don't buy them for the speed. They are driven by middle aged pillow biters who think they are saving the planet or some chit.

Flat torque curve. Same reason "diesel" trains are actually diesel generators powering an electric motor.

Understood.......but the fact that any high end modern day bike would have to do modifications to beat an off the production line car is a feat on its own no?
Thats kind of like say "oh yeah? Well lets see how that thing does against a top fuel dragster!"

But its a 4 door sedan that is used to haul rugrats around to the super market in. And the fact that its even on the same playing field as these other vehicles should be applauded.

A low 10/9 second car is faster than 99.9% of the bikes out there. This is nothing new.

I respect the dude for what he has done, as a car guy I don't like electric vehicles. I don't ever plan on buying one.

I'm legit contemplating an electric vehicle for driving around the city and shorter road trips, but I wouldn't be looking at a Tesla

Mercedes EQS maybe, or the Rivian models look really good

Keep dik riding billionaires who were born into money, get by on government subsidies and loans from China, and who clearly don't give a fuk about neither the customers nor their employees.

Not to mention his retarded projects like the Boring Company and the Hyperloop that were only good for hype and nothing else.

Street bikes aren't designed to drag race. In order to get enough traction to the rear tire without flipping the bike over you need an extended swingarm. Which kills cornering and would make them practically useless on the road.

The tesla isn't so much an engineering marvel as it is a one trick pony. With electric motors instant torque and 4 wheel drive plus tons of weight on each wheel it's perfect for launching quickly. It just sucks at everything else a racecar should be able to do, like stopping and turning. It's also severely limited on top speed and can only do those high speed runs once every half hour or so. It's still very limited and any real performance car or bike will embarrass it pretty severely.

Ah I see, here we have it. Tesla is 'with the times' and modern, presumably that's supposed to be good compared to the luddites and their frankly antiquated internal combustion engines? And Tesla is lobster, which is refined and expensive compared to the plebeians with their hamburgers?

Age: 45 LOL. Seems you fit the stereotype to the T, have you tried it up the bottom? I think you might like it.

Yeah I don't think the Plaid has any real engineering innovations aside from using electric motors, and maybe the carbon sleeve rotors or whatever

But the crazy acceleration is mostly just a function of electric motors isn't it? You can buy a Rivian R1S/T, big SUV or truck for around $70k, that comes with 800hp and does 0-60 in 3 seconds while weighing 1,000lbs more than the Plaid. These are also insane numbers, both for a SUV/truck and for the weight, but that's purely because electric motors. Plaid is insane because three electric motors putting out 1000hp, I don't know what else makes it particularly special.

Tesla the company existed before him, but it was a chit company with a bunch of idiots who wasted time and money on dumb stuff that wasn't gonna work. They were trying to refit existing cars with electric motors which was a bad idea. After a few months, the car was completely redesigned and was now mass-producible.

Inventions are a dime a dozen. Any idiot can design something and make it work. The real genius is in making it profitable to manufacture on a large scale and getting the finished product out the door. And I say that as an engineer who works in R&D, not some ****hot business/sales guy.

I like Elon for the most part. Not really buying into those that say he’s some Einstein but dudes def extremely intelligent.

I wouldn’t mind have a sweat Tesla but I still prefer the rumble of an engine and enjoy manual shifting fast cars.

Points taken but that said street bike could crush a lot if not most of all production that are designed for quarter mile times no?
I wouldnt say its a one trick pony. Its only 30 seconds off the fastest top 10 Nuremburg ring times all held by hyper and super cars specc'd specifically for racing. Thats only 7% slower. The fact that you can remotely update its software and give it new function and feature is part of the impressive engineering. What other vehicle can you do that with?
"It just sucks at everything else a race car should be able to do" - but its not a race car. Its a grocery getter that happens to be able to smoke a lot of cars that are labeled as "race cars" including the two of mine in the garage.

Exactly, but most people that talk cars/performance don't know those facts and typically spew BS to just be combative or argumentative online.

When it outperforms hyper cars on the 'ring it's time to just shut up and be impressed with what Elon's company created. Sure there's been QC issues with Tesla's, but any company faces that and they're still a baby company compared to others that have been making cars for generations.
