LOL at Elon Musk hate on here. Tesla destroys a motorcycle.

I love cars but i am not even big fan of electric cars and don't plan to switch until absolutely necessary but even I have to give credit where credit is due. Never thought id see a car win vs top-of-the-line motorcycle.

Also why does misc love to **** talk Elon ...the guy single handily changed/advanced the car and space industry how can you not respect that?

Yes his dance skills maybe **** and his taste in women is questionable at best but he is a rare bright light in our society today and i have a feeling future generations will see him as we do Nikola Tesla and Albert Einstein.

I had Tesla Uber in Philly one time on Broad Street. The driver offered to show us the acceleration. He barely stepped on the pedal and it was like being in a fuking thrill ride. The torque is insane. I don’t give a chit about climate stuff but the acceleration of these goddamn cars is fuking nuts.

Their absolute top speed is currently overcome by traditional fuel-powered engines that utilize air intake and require that level of speed to gain more speed. I’m dumb so I don’t know how to describe it.

I hate Elon because he took a century old technology then hired real engineers to make it work. He just basically funded it. And yes that's how electric motors work and have always. Instant torque, all you have to do is provide a current to it. He didn't invent the battery or the electric motor. He just put them together.

I would hazard a guess that you are simplifying the route he took to lead his business and amplify his net worth to become one of the most wealthy men to ever live.

The basic technology might have been developed by someone else. That doesn’t discredit his accomplishments.

They probably could have built an electric car in 1970. They fuking sent people to the goddamn moon, and built nuclear reactor generating stations by then.

I am not claiming he invented electric cars but nobody took electric cars seriously until Tesla and all the ones that were on sale were **** and barely sold any. There is a bunch of technology out there that exists right now that people don't use because its not practical. There are cars that run on water, cooking oil, all kind of ****...

Steve Jobs didnt invent smartphones either ...

It will be a little longer than people think. The way most police vehicle fleets run now, is basically 24/7, or take home. Departments aren't going to be shelling out 50k for a take home any time soon, and for fleet vehicles, an electric car just doesn't make sense yet. There's not enough downtime in the average vehicle's day to recharge. Compound that with added costs to instal chargers, do research on making Tesla's pursuit ready (a decent deal), etc, it just doesn't make sense.

Yes, going all electric will save money in the long run, but what city council is going to approve an additional XX million to decrease the police budget for the people who will replace them? Just not happening.

What are you talking about he’s the richest man in the world who should be in jail for securities fraud but he’s the SEC golden boy.

He literally just sold 7 billion dollars in shares of Tesla at extreme all time highs, while hiding the whistleblower on solar panels and tweeting out a signal to insiders Tesla was about to crash.

He has lied about secured funding for going private, he has numerous times committed securities fraud over and over again.

Greatest conman of all time. Mirin that the autistic ****g0t was able to become richest man ever. He didn't invent anything, not even PayPal which made him rich. Once he made money from a merger with PayPal (made by Peter Thiel) it's not exactly hard to invest those billions to make more billions. His name is on Tesla because of the money he invested, all the respect goes to the engineers that actually built the fukin tech.

As for SpaceX, woopty do we can go to space, how about you spend billions to fix the planet we're fukin on.

Daily reminder that while people were being forced to get vaccinated with experimental technology and 'dying in the millions' because of a "global pandemic", this ****g0t's net worth rose from $20 billion in 2019 to $297 billion in 2021, while Tesla grew 108x it's previous 8 years combined marketcap. But no, go ahead and lick his balls while he fuks you and your grandmother deep in the ass.

Electric motors are great for this stuff, that's the real advantage isn't it? 1000hp from three motors with instant torque, but it sounds like the Plaid kinda sucks otherwise in driving dynamics. Insufficient brakes for the power and really unstable at high speeds compared to other (more expensive) cars that put out similar numbers. Tesla claims the Plaid will be able to do 200mph through a fabled upcoming software update, as is their modus operandi, but it's governed to 162mph and apparently it's terrifying to drive at that speed when compared to a Porsche or other top brands.

Your arguments are pretty low level man. Thats like saying the iphone didnt change the game on anything, the telephone was invented 100 years before it........
Why cant you give credit where its due? The damn thing smoked a 200hp to the wheels motorcycle. That is a crazy accomplishment. Try going around a track? The car wasnt built for that.
How quick will the battery be drained? Are you that much of a hater that you cant see through all awesomeness? No red blooded male american watches a video of a 2500 HP dodge viper spitting flames and putting down crazy power says "yeah but how many miles to the gallon does it get?"

Sure the electric vehicle concept has been around for a long time. He just had the vision to take that and make something that was exponentially better than anything else, manufacture them more efficiently, and built software laid on top of all of it that is better than anything else out there. Gotta give credit where its due.

I think you are looking at this from the wrong perspective. Sure there are great heroes that deserve a ton of respect. They protect our country and give us our freedoms. But those people are not once in a century type of dudes. I dont care about what his hair looks like or any of that crap. But this dude disrupted an age old industry in transportation.....both for automobiles and rocket ships. This dude put a rocket in space for a fraction of what our taxpayers were paying NASA to accomplish.
