New Omicron vaccine (4th jab) coming March 2022

New interview where the Pfizer CEO tells us that preliminary data shows the booster (3rd dose) is nearly as effective against Omicron as the original two vaccines were against the original strain. But only having those original two shots sees a "25 fold" decrease in effectiveness against Omicron.

The good news is IF a new vaccine is needed for Omicron that they can make it, that it will be "very good", and that it will be available March 2022.

So in other words they've scheduled it nicely to allow people 3-4 months to get their booster (3rd shot), feel protected against Omicron for the time being, then they will reveal "real world data" suggests a new Omicron vaccine (4th shot) is required for full protection, and begin rolling it out soon thereafter.

Yep. And the CEO assures us that IF the new Omicron vaccine is needed, that its production will not interfere with the overall capacity of the number of doses (4 billion) between the old and the new.

im sure the fact that each booster shot generates over 10 billion in revenue PER BOOSTER series has NOTHING to do with it
im sure the fact that every politician put 100s of thousands to millions in pfizer and moderna stock has nothing to do with it

In immunologically naive hosts, Omicron may be as virulent as Delta. Reports of mild symptoms are probably a result of infections in vaccinated hosts or reinfections. It’s too early to know with Omicron, but the evolutionary trajectory suggests SARSCOV2 is evolving to be more harmful, not less.

I'm very glad they were able to get a date for us without even knowing if the 4th jab will be effective or not.

Hopefully they get emergency use authorization so we can get it even faster, and skip the silly "trials" again.
