Just LOL if you aren't running at least 5 miles a day.

Itll make you feel better then any amount of lifting. That runners high is the realist thing
Survival. When the jungle tears itself down and builds itself into something new. Guys like you and me, we end up dead. Doesn’t really mean anything. Or, if we happen to live through it, well that doesn’t mean anything either.

I am not much of a runner. I can run a few miles if need be but I don't run in everyday life. What I do more often in everyday life is lift, carry and drag things.

So I drag tires, carry kegs, and ruck hills with loaded backpacks.

I do some winter snowshoe expeditions every year. Have one planned this winter that will be dragging a 150 lb toboggan 80 miles over several days on snowshoe, and camping/cutting wood etc every night. On these trips even with zero training 20 miles a day pulling, my cardio never is an issue.

I'm 35 now, so for the month leading up to it I will likely drag a weighted sled I welded up a few miles each day to prepare.

Oh, and the nice part of these trips is that even eating all day, you lose weight. Burning 6000 calories a day you can literally eat butter sticka rolled in brown sugar, drink the bacon grease, and stuff yourself with chocolate almonds and still lose weight at the end lol

Lol I go on one 7-10 mile run a week and multiple 3-5 miles

But you are straight up asking for it running 5+ every single day unless you have spent a few years developing foot tendon strength etc…

But what is pushing yourself and what is adequate recovery.

Fact is if you don’t have a rest day I’m going to assume you are just lazy and not pushing yourself on your on days.

i jog every other day but keep it light and short. 2 miles or less with walking mixed in. if you're in the weight room regularly AND running that much outdoors on pavement your hips and knees/hamstrings will burn out IMO.

I still think we could enjoy both.

There is a whole difference between "I choose not to" and "I don't want to because I can't."

I walk a lot. Last 28 day training block I walked 169 miles. I don't run anymore, don't see the point. A brisk pace up a 1/2 mile hill gets your heart pumping plenty, unless you a 125lb twink I guess.
Eat in a deficit to lose weight.
Hit your protein and fat minimums to stay healthy and keep your gainz.
Lift heavy and do HIIT to look and feel awesome.
Use the internet to learn why you should do these things and how to do these things.

lmao, I wish I could 5 miles in 35 minutes.

I run and like to go for long walks outside (there's a lot of trails where I live and I like to listen to audiobooks), but I definitely put in more miles walking.

I disagree. My Dad ran 10 miles a day 7 days a week and now he can barely walk.

It doesn’t tone up your body like weights. Just a 45 minute session of lifting 3-4x a week plus some cardio like walking or tennis 3x a week is great and not too hard on your joints.
