Trump neve ordered any lockdowns or mandates. It was governors and mayors who did that. Trump didn't feel lockdowns were the answer. That's why some states were totally different from others. It's also why there was so much rage because they wanted him to be the bad guy. If forced local politicians to choose between their economy and health and it turned out the lockdowns were a mistake.

Inflation reinforces work, deflation reinforces rest.

Do we want a society which is forced to work or a society that forces rest?

That is actually why the fed is here, they are here to maintain inflation at a certain level which allows a balance between work and rest. Too much work and we become a society of forced slavery. Too much rest and we have no society.
Be interested in where you read this lol.

Inflation reinforces slavery and theft. You're destroying peoples purchasing power, and stealing away from the value of their productivity. If an economy is working the way it should goods and services should be becoming cheaper due to efficiency and competition.

When you steal peoples real wages from them you impoverish them, and put them in debt bondage to the banks. This takes away labors ability to consume and save.

Does this sound like an inflationary scenario?

If inflation was a good thing we wouldn't see millions of people exiting the labor force. America shows all the signs, economically, as the end of Rome. People abandoned the land, because it wasn't worth working anymore due to taxes and inflation.

Is global debt being 300 trillion or whatever it is sound healthy? lol.

You can't have a productive economy with that amount of debt overhead. It's impossible. That is why the economy died after 2008, and we've needed mass amounts of stimulus since then to revive what ever is left of it.

Promoting inflation as a positive is a myth so the parasitic rentier class can continue to raise their wealth through unearned income (rents, equities, bonds, monopolies).

I read through some of gajokes21 threads about inflation, and laughed HARD. He gives his armchair financial advice as if it some solution to most peoples economic hardships when 20% of the population owns the majority of financial assets.

The bottom 80% gets crushed, and the bottom 50% becomes a permanent underclass. How is it beneficial for labor to loss their purchasing power, and have to work longer and harder for the same means?

Then we'll take this retard approach to fixed debt?

Who gives a fuk? 50% of the country is making 35k a year, and subsidizing the rest of their income on credit cards with an 18% interest rate.

I agree inflation reinforces slavery, that's why I said inflation reinforces work, most people work for other people, if you work for someone else then you are a dependent or a slave.

We need to encourage people to work to advance society, so that means inflation is good as long as it doesn't run out of control.

You lose your ability to consume and save only if you do nothing, if you invest then your ability to save and consume increases.

You get what you deserve. The real free market value of labor is not high, it's not even 35K year. Most of you are overpaid.

The value of labor is low, if you choose to be a laborer then you deserve what you get.

There are still a lot of ways to make money in America, if you're broke, it's your fault.

If we analyze the facts based around what consistently occurs just before deflation, there are 4 major things that we see.

1. Diminishing marginal utility (Too much supply causing prices to diminish)
2. The value/confidence in money itself increases AKA demand for money (They stop spending because they value the money more than products and services being provided by the market and therefore the price of goods must come down in order for them to buy)
3. The amount of money diminishes
4. An increase in demand for goods (Goods that are wanted/needed are not being produced)

Keep in mind as well that the quality of money has an impact, which is a subcategory of monetary value point above. For instance, what major things happened leading up to the great depression? In fact, this is the ONLY case in which we saw a true deflation leading to a depression. The gold standard was dropped (money value), no money was printed, banks ran out of money to hand out...which is the entire reason why the fed was created in the first place; to replenish money if the banks ran out, which the fed failed to act on, thus all creating the perfect storm that resulted in the great depression. Today, the quality of money is lower AND overprinting of money has taken place as a result of dropping the gold standard. Supply and demand have an impact on deflation as well, but again, this pretty much never lead to anything major previous to government intervention.

idk - Things have seemed pretty nice since then as a whole. Quality of life, and what you can get is much better than the prior decades IMO.

I read through some of gajokes21 threads about inflation, and laughed HARD.
well, I'm glad I helped someone laugh. I consider that an accomplishment. srs
He gives his armchair financial advice
Yes, this is true
How is it beneficial for labor to loss their purchasing power,
That would assume wages stay below inflation as a constant. And the purchasing power graph, as cited by you earlier, can be very deceiving if looked at from a long-term standpoint. It had a few-year value for comparison IMO.

The way value works, and the way consumers prioritize or spend changes constantly. If that "purchasing power" was used relative to a constant baseline of measures over that time period- it's a bunk comparison from reality. you have to make adjustments based on consumers, behaviors, technology, the reality of modern times, etc.

Try just simple looking at your buget- how much can you get for it of what you both need and want, and how much your income is. If you have more leftover then good- if not then bad.

Seems like you can get a lot more crap now, and long fancier and lot more advanced, and better compared to 3 decades ago. Heck, just look at the size of these frigging houses the average person can get compared to that 3 bedroom small brick ranch with poverty bathrooms from the 60's .

Most of the chart historical comparisons are bunk, - don't let them through you into dystopia.

If you can't do fairly well for yourself right now, and give your self a decent lifestyle - with cool gagets and housing, then you are doing something wrong.

and have to work longer and harder for the same means?
People can work much easier now, and make much more relative.

Are you talking about comparing productivity rates over a long period of time? also bunk

In the 60 and 70's people agonized in manufacturing jobs, hurting themselves physically, and occupation hazard health issues, etc.

so let's say for easy math comparison example someone makes 80k a year in manufacturing and produces 800k in revenue

and now some joe can sit in a cubicle in the airconditioning writing code for 80k a year producing 8million in revenue

the 2nd person shows much more productivity- but does that mean slaving and working harder for the same? I don't think so.

Who you work for has always been who you worship.

But hey, no more mean tweets!

Wholesale prices measure rose 9.6% in November from a year ago, the fastest pace on record

https://www.cnbc.com/2021/12/14/whol...uRbdQYWoCt-Pz0

-Wholesale prices rose 9.6% from a year ago, the highest level going back to November 2010.
-The pace was even faster than the 9.2% estimate.
-The core producer price index increased at a 6.9% pace, a bit slower than estimates but still the fastest ever in records dating to August 2014.

Wholesale prices increased at their quickest pace on record in November in the latest sign that the inflation pressures bedeviling the economy are still present, the Labor Department reported Tuesday.

The producer price index for final demand increased 9.6% over the previous 12 months after rising another 0.8% in November. Economists had been looking for an annual gain of 9.2%, according to FactSet.

Excluding food, energy and trade services prices rose 0.7% for the month, putting core PPI at 6.9%, also the largest gain on record. Estimates were for respective gains of 0.4% and 7.2%, meaning the monthly gain was faster than estimates but the year-over-year measure was a bit slower.

The Labor Department’s record keeping for the headline number goes back to November 2010, while the core calculation dates to August 2014.

It’s a circle

The Fed sends the treasury remittances back for interest earned.

The Fed paid the treasury 88.5 billion in 2020 alone because of all the purchases.

So glad I bought a house when prices and rates were good. I feel bad for todays high school and college graduates. Those that can buy are gonna be sitting 100 grand underwater on 2000 dollar mortgage payments. Those that cant are gonna have to live with half a dozen room mates or stay in shiity relationships solely because they cant afford to move somehwere else.

Someone will read these posts and still get crushed when the market crashes in 2022.

They don't really want to be saved.

Lol.
So where does one park their money? Nearly all option is ****ed.

- Savings account? Absolutely not, you lose the value of your money by keeping it in there.
- Stocks? Not if your prediction of a market crash is true?
- Bonds? Will be worth nothing if market crashes and the US can’t pay.
- Real estate? This market can’t last, and if the market crashes, housing prices will once people are foreclosed on.
- Gold? Where are you going to store your bars?

Every single option is not good.

Realistically, the smart option is to invest in yourself - learn important skills, be physically healthy, build relationships, etc. Pretty much all intangible investments.

If a crash happens, there is a chance that this country won’t stay together.

I've felt this way for quite some time now.

And I don't know. Productive land/livestock doesn't seem like the worst idea, but that isn't exactly "parking"and liquidity is questionable.

There are shortages of fertilizer and petrochemical products which could drive up the costs of farmers and farmers will have to pass those costs along, but may not be able to charge enough to make a good profit. With pasture raised livestock [not buying grain] that would be less of an issue.

Makes Gates buying up farm land to rent out to farmers seem pretty smart. He knows that he will get paid rent on his land up front at planting time and if the farmer ends up getting hosed because expenses are too high that won't hurt Bill any.

And unlike renting to an occupant there is no real maintenance to speak of, nor any court to halt an eviction as the land isn't occupied, merely cultivated.

It's late now so unless you're nimble, you actually need to turn to cash.

I just started trading this year with a plan to raise cash in preparation for a market crash.

The "Elite" game plan is to make you believe things that seem obvious but are not actually true. The threat of high inflation moves you into overvalued assets so the "elite" can behead you when you expose yourself lol. Powell is going to raise rates to push you into (less)cash and out of the market then he will bring them back down to 0 once the plebs are tapped out.

You can't time the market so nobody really knows what's going to happen but common sense makes it a bit sketchy to know where to put your money. It always is, but now more than ever. Anyways, all you can do is like said before, invest in yourself. Make yourself more valuable, improve on what you already have. During times of inflation assets t end to continue to keep up with the inflation, especially on things that are needed.

I can't be held accountable, D'evils beatin' me down, boo <3
Got me runnin' with guys, makin' G's, tellin' lies that sound true
Come test me, I never cower
For the love of money, son, I'm givin' lead showers
Stop screamin', you know the demon said it's best to die
And even if Jehovah witness, bet he'll never testify, D'evils
