I wonder if there's any difference between a car club and a golfing club? It can't be just a group of people getting together over 1 interest, right? And I wonder if the people that are in these car clubs are any more versatile than those grumpy polo homos on the golf course? Like, can they apply those car repair skills to something else?
Another thing I'm wondering is what's wrong with preserving, or investing in, the preservation of these cars?

gee I don't know, how about being able to save $ fixing or modifying something yourself vs a mechanic? or apply those same technical mechanical skills elsewhere? If I had to pay for a mechanic every time I needed something fixed, I'd be walking to work.
