I remember seeing some crap video once about "born-again virgins" who reclaim their virginity because they think they can do that. Basically just tired of giving it away so now they have standards. Everybody got the milk for free but some dude has to work to buy the cow.

I'm not a virgin either, because I was an atheist when I was younger.

But now I am a Christian and so I will not have sex until marriage.


It's about deciding to obey your Father in Heaven. It's not about "preserving virginity"... that is ideal, to remain a virgin until marriage, but some people came to the Faith at different times in their lives.

So it's about being a good son/daughter and obeying God so that you avoid all of the pitfalls and traps associated with fornication. Casual sex destroys your soul. To avoid all of the dangers. Diseases. Unwanted pregnancies.... meaning are you going to bring an unwanted child into the world, or are you now going down a slippery slope where you have to murder your unborn child through abortion? And what about falling in love. Having regular sex with someone creates a bond, and 1 of the 2 partners, will eventually fall in love. And what if their love is not reciprocated? Now they have a shattered broken heart that they have to carry for the rest of their lives, making them jaded and skeptical and making it harder for them to fall in love again with 1 person.


It's bad for you, and that's why God says no.

The best thing for you, is to find a woman who loves you back, and get married. Then have all the sex you want with her, and if a pregnancy happens? Good, the child is coming into the world in a stable loving family. If both partners are faithful, there's no diseases. No heartbreaks. There's no issues.

A man being with a woman in marriage and raising a family is the good state of things, and it has been this way for many thousands of years.

Seen the video previously and admit I laughed a bit. I don't actually have a problem with her deciding to wait until marriage. Just about every Judeo-Christian religion teaches that sex outside of marriage is a sin and fundamentally damaging to the soul. Good for her if she's willing to live the standards she professes to believe in.

It's just funny that they are obviously not on the same page. That she comes off as controlling and him as awkward just adds to it. Having compatible values is one of the most important criteria for choosing a spouse and they just aren't on the same page. Maybe they will be fine, scripted videos don't necessarily mean anything, but if I was one of his bro's my instinct would be to tell him that he should break it off, just based on the vid.
