Not read much of this thread but tried bf2042 for a few hours... maps seem awful and just empty. Doesn't feel like a battlefield game at all, honestly they're closer to valorant style maps with straight edges/no clutter which really takes away from the experience.
We ended up just playing bf3 or whatever it is within bf2042 and it was drastically more fun, better graphics, better maps and better overall atmostphere

Battle 1 and 4 were the GOAT.

All Battlefields have been enjoyable. The squad type platoon gaming mixed with all the different types of vehicles just can't be beat, never played another War Video game as Immersive and team based as Battlefield.

2042 has tons of issues and the number 1 problem for the Video Gaming Industry across the board is the extreme soying and poocifying rules/policies/"Non Toxic Circle Tugs" every game is becoming Super-Soy.

I'm having a blast and I cant believe it after what I said about it on release.

Still needs crazy optimization though, the stutters are insane on my PC (3600 + 16GB RAM + 6700xt) and everything low.

Once they release more patches to fix the issues and add missing stuff + new maps/guns in the seasons this game will be great.

This game was NOT ready for release though at all, needed like another 6 months

Id play it more if they had a official team dm mode or server on portal and weapon progression in portal

Yeah I get that and its why I was so disappointed at launch

But I'm still enjoying the game and loving the big 128player breakthrough pushes on the attacking side.

I play it, what do you play Conquest/Rush/Portal? Which Specialist are you using? Rank?

Game will be fixed. Just like battlefield 5 was garbage at launch until they patched it and added tons of maps, skins, DLCs and micro missions.

We get that the game is not even close to being fixed. But to sit there and deny that it is not fun to play and that the patches are not improving the experience is just potato. The community is actively reporting the bugs directly to the BF 2042 team on Twitter and Reddit.

As patchy and bugged as Battlefield 2042 is it is 1000% more fun than any other Cuck of Duty Reskinned game.


Currently playing on My Xbox Series X. Can't wait till my custom Cyber Power PC comes to play it on my computer as well.

lollin hard at shilling for battlechit 2042 ... desperately trying to cope for spending 160 dollars for the cultimate cuck edition. This game is dead along with DICE as a studio.

I’m actually having fun. The thing with this game is it’s easier to play solo than BFV/other battlefields for some reason. I went 101-30-11 (K/A/Deaths) yesterday in a round playing solo not having single revive.

I’m BFV (which I’ve been playing for a couple years) getting a KD of 5+ Is near impossible unless you have a squad with you or an over abundance of medics.

That’s part of the problem in BF2042 though. Squad play isn’t all that much useful especially in 128 maps. A squad of 4 doesn’t make or break a game, but in older games you could make a dent on the enemy team and turn a game around.

On another note, this game is in dire need of a scoreboard and to fix the -nearby- kill log. If the scoreboard & stat pages never come (likely) then I’m literally never wasting money on another BF game again. Might as well play counter strike again


Edit: BF2042 is literally a better call of duty than call of duty. But for a battlefield game, it’s as if COD and BF franchise had a bastard baby. Although sadly COD games have better gunplay than this, but everything else BF still wins.

It's the biggest thing that stood out for me. Just thinking about these maps, it feels like I am about to drown in sand

I am considering trying it again sometime next year if they bring a scoreboard back as well as keep updating and fixing it. I probably won't be getting any new maps, because I'd rather kill myself than pay for any DLC if it will cost.

They maps are absolute dogchit. that's why I pick a few spots in each map that I somewhat enjoy playing in, and stick to them. **** objectives that send you to Narnia on foot. I never bother unless I'm in a bolte/tank. My cope is that this is a bastardized Battlefield that plays out like a hybrid of Counter Strike, Call of Duty, and Battlefield. 3 games that i've historically enjoyed, so I can make the best of it.

I come from CS background as well, and would love a hybrid of those 3 games, which I have played since I was young. But this BF game ain't it, son

BF5's map details are amazing. Fjell map for instance is breathtaking almost.

But even older games, you have maps where you can walk around and see details everywhere if you just look. Maps that feel vivid and alive, fkn flies here and there.

it's alright. I don't pay attention to the massive circle jerks against it. Reddit does this for literally every new BF game for as long as I remember, and then when the new one comes out they are crying missing the previous game.

no scoreboard is pretty infuriating. and there are some maps that are just plain fuking stupid. But also some maps that are badass and a ton of fun, like the one in India or wherever with a giant ship in the middle.

don't understand the biching about classes/specialists.

this game still has time and room to get some updates and maybe new maps and be a good BF title.

that being said, I just got an oculus and don't really feel like playing Xbox right now. Still having a ton of fun on the Quest
