Should I get vaccinated srs

I’m living with parents at the moment; have just started my career as an engineer.
Anyways my whole family is vaccinated, and my grandmother lives here, she’s in super bad state is bed bound and has Alzheimer’s. The carers come 3 times a day.
I’m thinking I’ll have a high chance of getting corona and passing it onto my family, especially my grandmother who would I don’t think could fight off the virus in her current condition.
Idk if I’ll be able to forgive myself if I caught covid and gave it to my grandmother considering she lives here.

Vaccine won't prevent you from getting sick. Do a quick search.

It does protect at risk population some from getting severe illness and being hospitalized.

You can still transmit the virus if you are vaccinated.

If you think you you're going to get a jab and be good to go/protected than you need to catch up to the latest definition of what a "vaccine" does because it's changed from when we were in school.

Unvaxed crew/natural immunity crew, but not antivax crew checking in.

There’s a chance the vaccine can cause serious long term damage if not immediate issues. Much is still unknown and being hidden. Athletes have been dropping dead left and right all year so keep that in mind.

Some things to consider...

I know 2 Healthy people who have had blood clots in the brain after getting the Pfizer vaccine. 1 died instantly and the other is permanently brain damaged.

I got vaccinated early on, I still got covid.

Last week my coworkers wife got COVID and nearly died of heart failure despite being triple vaxxed. She also has every health condition in the book. But still leads me to question if the mRNA vax actually does anything at all besides side effects.

At this point I have decided not to get the booster. There is a traditional style vaccine coming out this year that uses a weakened version of the COVID virus that will likely be far safer and effective.

With this guy, got first 2 doses. Waiting on non mRNA vaccine to get the booster, data shows its better and less side effects. Yes, data shows it decreases the chances of you catching it short term but with all the variants no one really knows how effective it is/will be. Omnicron seems to not really give a **** about vaxx but everyone i know who is vaxxed has had a much better time with the virus itself than unvaxxed friends. Overall OP if it will make you feel better and give you peace of mind since you don't want to feel guilty about killing granny get it.

Agreed. Nothing will do chit to variants. The ineffective vaccines may cause a super mutation not unlike mrsa and antibiotics. Sure that's bacteria and COVID is a virus. But science has always said that you either let a virus run it's course or you shut it down with a vaccine like small pox and polio or risk a super virus. We did neither.

My friend is an ICU nurse and from what she posts it looks like the kind of concern trolling you'd get from a bot but she is 100% serious. I am and will continue to be pure-blooded but there's always a what if. You just have to take the information available to you from multiple sources and make the choice you think is best.

Also to add, OP. Moment you start feeling shiety/been exposed to RONA get the monoclonal antibodies. Minimal side effects if any, and it's proven to significantly decrease timeframe in which you're contagious. Data on on omnicron and monoclonal antibodies still mostly TBD.
