Fight choreography in Matrix Resurrections sucks

i'm not even done watching it yet but the martial arts scenes look so over exaggerated, like ballet slowed down, crouching tiger hidden dragon chit. no one looks like they're really swinging or getting hit. kinda weird in a disappointing way after it's been almost 20 years since matrix revolutions and movies that have come out since then with way better hand to hand combat.

Who knew the 4th iteration of a movie series after the previous sequels did not fare well either would do so badly.

The first Matrix came at a time when the over exaggerated kung fu moves and wire fu stuff felt different and fresh. And because of the many copy cats that came out after, there was a sudden push for more gritty and reality based fighting like you saw in The Bourne films and other action movies. So after two decades of wire fu kind of being outdated, revisiting this style of fight choreography was kind of a dumb move. But then, for a Matrix film, they had to do it. Definitely doesn't help that Keanu is currently part of another franchise that embodies more realism in fighting per the John Wick movies.

Ok. Now I am hopeful it is actually a good movie. If this retard says it sucks, its probably not true.

I didn't actually mind it. Nowhere near as good as the originals but at least it was something a bit different than what is usually shoved down our throats lately.

and a rendition of ratm's "wake up" sung by a female/tranny as the outro song

this was basically stars wars the force awakens after all...just a lesser remake of the original movie

The Matrix was probably the best movie ever made. I fully enjoyed the sequels as well but can understand the disapproval for them.

I won't be watching this 4th pile of dogchit.
