What clowns have you phones got?

I know it's going to be, "Ooooh, I've got the latest iPhone or a £2000 gold plated...", "perfect for all my needs, GPS, Social Media, woooo", "5g 6000mah runs gta 60fps" sitting like lost souls scrolling for an eternity.

Trash. This is the phone I've had for ages, the ULTIMATE MOTOROLA!! Reminds me of the Skyline from Fast and Furious.

Sickest phone ever, design and everything.

Everything I type on here is how I am in real life, so yeah

I just project it on here like a notepad, and to see if others agree.

All a phone needs to do is make calls, text. That's all. Camera and others are a plus.

Definitely reccomend you pick up that Nokia off Ebay or something. Just feels a ton cooler than having some regular "smartphone".

Hahaha lol, well, that Motorola has a sim card so it's my daily use phone. The one taking the photo is to swap out the memory cards to upload to Google photos/PC.

I guess some smartphones and these old pre 2006 flipphones are matching in price since the flipphones aren't being manufactured anymore.

Irrespective of that, get a flip phone. The feel of flipping a phone open to answer a call, having a phone that looks like a neon tank, it's just awesome lol.

Honestly, £150 is a huge stretch. You could probably pick up an IPhone 5s or and S7 for like £30. They still function fine, battery and everything.

I honestly think people are self conscious or something. Use wise, an IPhone from 2010 isn't much different to some £2000 phone these days, just bigger screens, useless performance and ridiculous cameras.

Yeah they were insane. My Mum had a razr ages ago with a pink crystal "I'm gorgeous" case. Lol, that was a huge deal then.

I'm not even sure if rooted stuff is necessary in 2021. Read on XDA. I rooted my S4 in 2014 and got the Lineage Custom Roms. (Also had AdAway). Made the phone run like a tank.

Honestly, I prefer the camera quality on the old razrs/flip phones. This ultra clear capture stuff, I don't know, I just don't like the way it looks. A slightly pixelled image just looks cooler. Plus, it doesn't take up copius amounts of space.

E.g, photo on krzr is 200kb, photo on latest whatever is probably like 5mb.

That's cool, from the pic it looks pretty much identical to a Razr. I'm guessing it's a newer version of it?

And there's still a huge amount of benefits to rooting in 2021. I sincerely think a lot of the reason you sometimes hear people now say it "isn't worth it" is because OEM's don't want people rooting their phones to begin with, and to that same end a lot more phones these days have totally locked bootloaders (and more complicated partition schemes) so it's much harder or impossible to root. I legit think there's a push now from OEMs shilling the idea that rooting is bad/not worth it just because, like everything else in the tech market, they're trying to tighten it down and take away full ownership.

I specifically look for phones with unlockable bootloaders.

Similar reasons to what I'm thinking. I always said that when they release a phone with new battery technology (upgrade from lithium ion), which lasts months on 1 charge, I'd buy it.

My flip phone lasts like 8 days on times. Pretty insane.

It was great and did everything I needed. I had Opera mini on it and for a few years it was my only internet access and it always worked. I think I would go a few models up that supported better connectivity than edge, and also one that has a screen brightness control. But the size of it was way more comfortable in my pocket.
Once in a while you see them still NOS on ebay. I'd like to go back to one or a Blackberry.
