Lifting Injuries

Any of you got suffering from lifting injuries currently? I recently snapped my back up and now my left quad is being a bobo right now. Sucks cause I love squatting. Lost 50+lbs on my squat basically overnight.

Definitely had a micro tear in a tendon in the shoulder chest region. Felt so incredibly frail last few months. But almost back to good

And I overstretched my patella doing leg extensions on a piece of **** machine cause some twink was on the good one. Just need a little rest for that tho

what caused the micro tear? Honestly my injury was just the result of being a retard and going for a pr despite feeling like chit.

sore right knee, need to lacrosse ball and foam roll out the quad muscle to loosen it up and it not be tight anymore
right elbow joint sore, think from OHP resting and taking turmeric c3 complex, fish oil, mk 677 to repair

Luckily I’ve never had any serious injuries. Only mild tweaks/pulls or tendonitis.

It’s usually either overuse or having retarded form

Mine have almost always been just from being retarded. Easily preventable.

Probably general wear and tear combined with DC extreme stretching

not really an injury but for whatever reason my left hip/left glute just feels hyperactive and angry when i squat. been trying to do physio on it but doesn't seem to be correcting itself. stretching and foam rolling confirmed to not have done chit. been trying to correct my hip hike as I think that's the main problem., not sure if it's working. also doing single leg work to get it stronger. might go to another physio, it's been like this for months whenever I try to work up to a 2 plate squat, lol.

Thats kinda weird. My problem is the exact opposite. One side is clearly being a ****ggot and not responding.

squat is the most sensitive lift

lost over 150lbs+ on my squat by not squatting for a bit over a year. but my deadlift isn't too bad and bench didn't change at all

yeah I stopped lifting cause my gym closed and went from 475-485 sets of 5 now I only do mid 300s cause I don't want to injure myself again. I think its just my hamstrings are weak

my deadlift is low 500s now but Im slowly building it to 600 through 2022

bench is easiest for me to maintain. OHP lags a bit not at my peak strength on that yet

Not sure if it was from lifting or what but L4/L5 and L5/S1 discs in my back are so degenerated they're pretty much gone, causes the vertebrae between them to hit the sciatic nerve; spent 2-3 years in agony before finally getting an epidural, 80% pain free now and it feels amazing.

Not lifting related but partially torn tendon in my ankle (peroneal tendon) and fck it hurts, did it at work so going through workman's comp which is slow as hell; can't do any leg exercises except extensions and curls, anything else causes too much pain and I pretty much drop the weight.
Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.
1/13/16: Massive hernia.
5/10/16: Finally back to lifting, light but improving.

Ankle injuries suck, can barely walk and it hurts all the damn time; signed off to keep going to work though because fck it. First question the workman's comp doc asks "How long do you want to be off work for?", fck that noise, I got OT to do.

Bulging disc from deadlifting, still unable to do any calf raises 10 years later as the disc pressing on the nerves.
Torn chest tendon from weighted dips, couldnt do a pushup for 3 months. Still act up today in certain weird positions like carrying a kid, mostly alright 95% strength.
Lots of ankle sprain loose ligaments
Punched heavy bag till hand dislocation and fracture, had surgery, dr say i wont be able to lift 5 lbs unless they fix my dislocated metacarpal

What i learnt is just go moderate for 8 rms 6 rms. The only thing worth going is if you are competing

Not lifting-related, but mild plantar fasciitis from running 6 days/wk and the typical strains that come from consistent running.

I roll the bottom of my foot with a frozen lacrosse ball in the morning and that usually sorts that out.

I was loading 45s on the sled and did deads, lunges and good mornings.

I woke up at 3am in searing pain. Luckily it’s much better with a Chiropractor and masseuse

Only injury I ever had at gym was tennis elbow which lasted nearly two years, awful injury would make me wince like a bitch attempting a chin up.

Fugged my back up several years ago. Never been the same since. Didn’t realize I had scoliosis and thought my back pain was just normal discomfort till I way overdid it one day. Now I’m like Ronnie Coleman and lost nearly all my gains. I live with constant back pain but I’m almost used to it now. It does prevent me from bending over at the waist so I have to squat with my knees. It’s pretty stiff in the mornings right along with my dink.
