Christmas Covid Texts With Sister

Meeting with moms side of the family for Christmas Eve tomorrow

Sister: Hey, Droopdx our cousin has a rapid test in her car. Maybe you take it tomorrow?

Me: yeah maybe

Sister: I’d really appreciate it if you did

Me: I don’t have any symptoms why would I take the test? Everyone else taking one too?

Sister: everyone else is vaccinated plus boosted

Me: still can get and spread Covid unfortunately

Sister: I have a son who can’t get vaccinated unfortunately

Me: so everyone should take a test then not just me

Sister: I don’t go out to clubs and hang out with random people (uhhhh ok)

Sister: I agree I thinkeveryone should get tested

She throws a jab at me for going to clubs which I rarely ever do just bars once in awhile but my nephew gets tossed around like a hot potato at family events and when she hangs out with friends. Make it make sense.

lmao Sounds similar to the convo I had with my mom yesterday, except they won't even allow me to come with a neg Covid test. I'm like you all realize you can get and spread Covid too, right?! And I work from home so it's not like I'm highly likely to be exposed. I do errands once a week and in a store for like 30 mins tops, at gym for an hour or so once a week on Sunday afternoon with maybe 10 people in there. I wipe everything before I touch it. Pretty sure I don't have Covid right now. It's ridiculous.
