Official The Expanse season 6 thread

final season

6 episodes total

1 - "Strange Dogs" (December 10, 2021)
2 - "Azure Dragon" (December 17, 2021)
3 - "Force Projection" (December 24, 2021)
4 - "Redoubt" (December 31, 2021)
5 - "Why We Fight" (January 7, 2022)
6 - "Babylon's Ashes" (January 14, 2022)

first two were kinda slow to get things going but in yesterday's episode chit finally got real

still find it sad Kamal "had" to leave because of real-life chit with the actor, sucks

but they also did some fan service with theSpoiler!
cameo's of Anna and Prax


hope they will be able to wrap everything up in a satisfying way, so this can go into history as one of the GOAT sci-fi series

I delayed starting because I didn't want to do this weekly rollout that Amazon likes to do. Will watch it all in January in like a day.

about to start s01 soon. Actually going through the books at the moment as doing it the other way around i find usually makes the books feel lackluster. Great books so far though. Up to book 7.

Have you read the books? It makes Inaros and his little bathtub fleet look like nothing. What's weird is the books take a 20-ish year jump in time at one point and I'm not sure how the show will handle that.

haven't read the books, do you mean Inaros is overpowered in the show?

does the show stay true to the books mostly until now?

I believe the book series is still running, so they'll have to end the show somewhat prematurely?

That's why this is the last season. This season will roughly end before the books make the time jump. Though I'm assuming they had to make some changes to the show since I'm pretty sure Alex is still on the crew in the books.

No the books stick to everything really well - the guys who have the new civs on the other side of the rings, one of the was a mars faction that spends years reverse engineering the protomolecule and learns how to control it and basically make a living ship with super weapons.

I watched most of this show but could take it or leave it. Overall wasn’t bad but the belters talking like 6 yr olds just makes me cringe.

In the books they had been on their own for a good deal of time (they never really give exact dates in the books) but it makes it sound like several generations basically creating its own culture. Happens all of the time in reality - I was surprised they stuck to that aspect when they made it into a show.

Yea I can get the premise of it and why, but damn they could’ve just done a better job imo. It’s something in the show that’s just hard for me to over look and I love sci fi.

I'd say she looks fairly bulky. The idea is to make her seem big and strong, I think they get that across well.

It's more annoying that the creators made this season apparently hoping someone will buy the show

Just started watching it 10 days ago. I’m all caught up until next weeks episode. So sad that they won’t continue it until the end.
