(Spoilers) The Matrix Ressurections
Just.... Why?
Hot dragged to see this with the family.
Original was HUGE and even the sequels had a lot of interest.
With a 20 year gap you think they must have come up with some great idea for a sequel, but nah..... Not really.
Theres just nothing to see here, it feels like a movie that was done just to retain the rights to the licence or something.
Why does Neo suck now but yet Trinity is somehow stronger than him, and she can fly now but he can't? Except he can again in the next scene, guess he remembered when the pressure wasn't on.
Why didn't they get Hugo weaving back? Agent Smith is like the pivotal character on the movie and he's played by some random.
I liked the friendly robot creatures, and the chick with blue hair was OK, keanu reeves was okay I guess but everything alse about this movie sucked. The pacing was all over the place, like when neo gets put in prison for literally 15 seconds then they break him out, why even put him there it added NOTHING.
Anyway, just a confusing pointless movie, I could have come up with a better plot sitting on the john

It amuses me that people actually pay to go and see a movie to learn how badly it sucks, when for free I just know it sucks without even watching it.

I think you missed a couple key scenes like where the robots rebuilt neo and trinity to.....resurrect them. Neo gets all of his power back in the end. Trinity finally took a leap of faith and got her power, believing in herself over the fabricated reality.

I was a huge matrix fan when it originally came out. This was a major disappointment. Worst movie I’ve seen in a while. There is a part in the movie where Smith says “our partners at Warner Bros said they will make the sequel with or without us.” There’s probably some truth to that.

In an interview Lana Wachowski was asked "Why a new Matrix now 20 years later?"
He just shrugged his shoulders.
During the 1st half of the movie the characters straight up mention that Warner Bros forced a sequel saying you make one or we get someone else.
Then it goes on and on about how sequels and reboots are terrible but then the second half of the movie is a terrible sequel. lol
I actually liked the idea of a Machine civil war.

Movie is absolute dogchit if you were a fan of the original.
I have no doubt they only brought this back to indoctrinate some woke feminism message.
It makes perfect sense when you know the director transitioned from male to female.
If you notice Neo is an absolute incel the whole movie.
He never shows the confidence or skill he had in the trilogy.
And once Trinity is "unplugged" he is basically her puppy dog.
She is ALWAYS leading.
In every scene he is basically back-up or just in the background watching while she "kicks ass".
In the final scene, Neo is always behind Trinity, in EVERY shot.
She is the main character, the hero, Neo is her side kick.
This is painfully obvious near the end when Trinity saves Neo and then fuks up the analyst while Neo does NOTHING (remember, previously Neo couldn't even touch the analyst....while Trinity is able to EASILY destroy him).
I don't care if you want to make a movie with a female hero, that's fine.
But don't ruin an existing storyline/character just because you want to shove your woke feminism crap in everyone's face.

Movie was bad. Warner Bros getting namedropped was so cringey it was unbelievable. The director leaned way too much on meta commentary in the first half of the movie, it took me completely out.
