Girlfriend has Covid I don’t

Dec 27 - my gf, dad and brother in law all have same Covid symptoms (chills, fatigue). All vaxxed and 2 of them had Covid already.

I was with all of them dec 25-27 and from the 27th to now I have been in a hotel room with my gf who has tested positive.

I had one day on the 28th where I slept a lot over night and woke up in a sweat but just tested negative. Was sure this was Covid and the sweat was breaking fever but it could have been a hellacious travel day. I had Covid july 2020 and still pure blood.

How is this possible?

A. I never caught this highly contagious disease this time around

B. Tests don’t work and I’m positive asymptomatic

C. Anti-bodies still strong enough the see the virus and immediately get rid of it

Misc, please advise

A relative at our Xmas eve party passed it to everyone, they didn’t have symptoms at the party found out the next day.

It takes roughly 2 weeks for symptoms to even appear; you wouldn't test positive until then

2 weeks? Everything I see on Omicold is 3 days which is exactly how long it took for them to show symptoms from time of exposure. I’ve been legit hanging out with Covid for 6 days straight and crickets

1-3 days would be either Influenza(super common at the moment) or someone with an immunodeficiency disorder like AIDS

For otherwise healthy people it's more like 12-14 days on average for the incubation period

There are thousands of viral "bugs" floating around, not everything is Covid

Would you have tested for Influenza and contacted anyone you were around if positive? No you wouldn't despite it being more dangerous

All 3 have positive covid tests and same exact symptoms.

Also flu lasts longer than 1-2 days.

I’ll have to look it up but some doctor on Rogan podcast was saying you could legit test positive and have Covid, then if you test positive again It’s most likely influenza…. I can’t remember the reasoning, something to do with pcr tests or something

Peer pressured by her liberal family. She was throwing up when she got the vaccine and now regrets it since it pretty much did nothing.

It's nearly impossible for them all to have contracted it and showed symptoms in just a couple of days; at least with Covid

The test kits, especially the swabs are very inaccurate

See below

You must be talking about Dr. Malone and he must've been referencing the PCR threshold cycling; anything over 35 cycles will test positive even if you stopped being symptomatic a long time ago

Roughly 50% of tests are false-positives from what I've witnessed with antibodies not being present

The number of infected isn't nearly as high as the internet and MSM are reporting over the last 2 years

You need to relax on the conspiracy theories Brah. It is very possible and it happened. It’s pretty much standard someone thinks they have Covid they get a test and it’s confirmed. Sure there are some false positives/negatives but in general they are fairly accurate.

since you clearly don't care about catching covid enough to get the vaccine, why make a post? do you make a post every time you're around someone with a cold too?

Been on this site for 15+ years and rarely post about anything, I just found this very interesting. I thought if I got it again it wouldn’t be that bad since I already had it and it wasn’t that bad. Didn’t think being directly exposed and not getting it was even a possibility.

You know you can have covid and not show signs right?

My previous gf had it, showed signs, I had no signs and tested positive. Days after that test I started to show signs, for me it was just allergy cold like symptoms. For her (former Army and very active) it brought her down hard for a solid 3 weeks plus.
