315 is srsly legit for an average gym goer (unless you are like 350 lbs).

I actually just started doing it since I spent a decade in a commercial gym and was always worried about injuring myself. Newer friend showed me how and I’m working on it.

Way less than you so I won’t say but I’m working my way up slowly and carefully. Could probably do more than I actually do but don’t want to risk anything. I also need to work on my speed getting under on the catch. I can high pull way more and front squat way more.

I'd say just start with hang clean from mid-thigh if your pull is inconsistent from the floor. Less room for error that way.

I don't have great mobility so I just stick to power clean now (catching above parallel).

Funny you say that. That’s when I do my cleanest pulls. I’ll high pull from the ground. Then do a hang clean from below the shin. Two separate moves but keeping the bar in hands. Then after a few of those I’ll hit some from the ground and they go much smoother.

I mean 315 lb power clean is usually about 360~370 full clean (my full clean was about +50 lb more than my power before I injured my knee and stopped doing full clean).

How often do you see someone doing power clean (not full) with 315 lbs at a commercial gym?

It's def not crazy strong or anything but above avg for sure lmao.
