Tenant left only 10% tip - WWYD?

Happy New Years misc

Bit of a weird situation -I have just been informed one of my tenants left a 10% tip for the year

I’m a bit aggrieved because:
-there was only one maintenance issue the whole year which the agent fixed immediately
-they’ve been in the property the entire year
-they haven’t raised any complaints the whole year

So I feel to get the bare minimum without any explanation is a bit rough to say the least

Ordinarily I would just increase the rent but recent laws limit the amount of rent increase. The lease is coming to an end soon though.

Misc landlords what would you do?

There are legal limits on rent increases, if I want to increase the rent I need to terminate this lease and put a new tenant in

Which I can do, but seems a bit extreme over what might just be a misunderstanding

Then cant you just what you said?
i dont get the tip attitude. the tip **** comes from being paid a low as **** salary, mainly in the hospo industry.
i just dont understand why you think a tip is nessacary in the renting world. like you already have one up on minimum wage slaves (ofwhich im not).. why do you need a tip?

Same reason you tip when you get good service at a restaurant

I didn’t provide the bare minimum service, why should I get the bare minimum gratuity?

For reference, on the other properties the tips were in the 15-20% range

if other properties gave you a tip, personally i think your lying.

that is the biggest bull**** going around, and whoever did tip you, should crawl into a hole, seal it up and let the lack of oxygen do the rest.
you may be providing a service of such, but you do not need a tip, you are not on minimum wage. you clearly own multiple properties, so that fact that your bitching about not getting a certain amount in tips, is ****, is insensitive, inhumane.

your australian FFS, stop trying to make us america
