I hope it works out well for you man. Honestly in this day and age, I'd rather be an old Dad. Trying to grow up in your 20's can be hard. Way too much BS. When you get to your 30's, you should know what's more important and should have a stable job to secure a good life.

Biggest mistake of this generation, waiting too long to have kids. Picking careers and recreation over children.
Just stay healthy mentally and physically, you’ll be okay OP.

Natural Selection says have kids or die

Pass on your genes.

Even God in the Bible destroyed the Tower of Babel and said "Spread to the ends of the Earth"

Did you know there's no "evolution" without kids?

Your dad was certainly an exception. 48 is very old to have kids, I'm sure you know.

I can agree with you there is an aspect to what you're saying but I don't think that's the main reason people have kids

Thank you! I hope you, your fam and your girl do as well!

Also have to agree with SS. Everything is a crap shoot. Don't think you need to start a family right now but don't think you need to wait an arbitrary amount of time to get engaged. Do what you feel is right.

Man, you're acquiescing hard on a lot of what you typically say

I don't think it really matters quite what people think. They can think close to whatever they want or whatever they want to convince themselves

I'm pretty sure evolution and a lot of theories in that ilk attempt to underpin the reasoning why a lot of stuff happens

Like, it doesn't matter what restaurant people choose to eat at - this is where you are in regard to people not thinking about evolution - but they are in fact eating cause it's sustenance to survive

The fact that they have to eat to survive would be evolutionary law
Where they choose to eat would be what people are preoccupied with and is subsidiary
