So what is exactly the difference between China and the USA when it comes to freedom?

CCP GOV doesn't allow freedom of speech but so does the USA -> point out a few statistics and flaws against liberal agenda on many accounts (women, African Americans, socialism) and you can have your life ruined.

The latter is more annoying and arguably more interfering with Average Joe's life (because none of you have the slightest chance of taking up a serious position in the USA office anyway).

The land of the free requires a jab for work which is literally an indirect way equivalent of what I imagine the CCP has done in China.

Forget about wealth etc as apples to oranges (China is playing catch up successfully but after all it has been decades under a socialist planned economy). We are talking pure freedoms.

The only real argument is that doing business in the USA does not depend on blessings from people... but many people contest that because only a small fraction of people will develop a BigTech/other tier business and if you look closely at the histories of al lbig business in the West it all depends on connections as well.

US can own property and land, China can't
US can view international news via internet, China can't
US can own weapons to protect themselves from government, China can't

These are all very huge in the aspect of freedom.

US for the win

I think the real debate is how China goes so far into obvious censorship that basically every Chinese citizen with more than two digit iq understands everything is propaganda from the govt. they understand not to take freedoms for granted and they get taken away easily, to be careful etc..

Americans by contrast are controlled by false information overload and are more brainwashed into buying into the propaganda and the illusion of freedom. Which is preferable for the pockets of places where people are independent and still want to protect their rights. But ultimately It’s the same type of brainwashing I just think we’re at different stages and Chinese citizens are jaded and know better but have already lost many freedoms.

America will catch up.

Up until about a year ago, Canadians, Austrailians, British, and other non-US brahs were saying "Land of the free? LOL, we have just as much if not more, except you get more guns, but we don't want that" and then COVID gave them a reality check. So biden did the thing with OSHA to try to slip through a mandate. We still have a choice, and there have been mandates. Lets say it hasn't been easy for him, and what's more is it will be constantly fought against and may have to answer for later. What Im saying is he found a loophole and it's still been a rough road. Here, we have to either have the jab or get tested and that starts sometime next month. Trust me, if Biden could just mandate everyone get the jab, he would, but he can't. Most of all, he's got governors and mayors pushing back against hiim, causing divide in the country, and it will be used against his party in 2022 and really answer for it directly in 2024

yes freedom is just a technicality to you we got it.

nvm the 4th amendment that keeps military from occupying private land/homes. nvm the fact that you can participate on this forum because of the 1st amendment. nvm the fact that all this is enabled TIME AND TIME AGAIN by the 2nd amendment

technicalities though

The things you're talking about really only apply in liberal cities and states which model themselves after china anyway. Here in the actual free states you don't see any of the above.

The US is a very varied place, generalizations don't work well here.

As usual, so funny when people with no idea post like they are experts.

In China, an individual CANNOT own property at all. They either rent or get a 70 year lease on the property itself, but they NEVER own the land that the property is on. Meaning that it could be sold from underneath them at anytime.

The reason that international news (actually any other news besides the mainstream in one's own country) is that an individual is able to see conflicting opinions and see information that might be blocked by one's own country. If you can't understand how important this is, than you are one of the sheeple believing whatever your screen tells you to think at that moment.

Look what precedes every tyrannical takeout by a few years: gun confiscation. That "redneck" probably has more balls than you and you might one day be cowering in fear, asking them for protection. If it was so useless, why do they never skip that step?

1st of all, you wouldn't do chit against that fat redneck to make them do anything. Probably wouldn't even have the balls to look them in the eye. Most of them are hardhat hard working guys that would wreck your life if you tried to mess with them, without a gun. Don't you know they are the highest group of combat vets? Do you think they forgot about how to operate in combat? No, they haven't although they are trying to forget. Trust me they want to forget, but they can't. Keep messing with them, see what happens. Yeah you might be able to wreck a few my 600 life candidates because you're a bully that would do so. I'm making assumptions about you though, so I really don't know. Of course, you want the current military and police to do it. Of course, a lot of them won't do it. They aren't going to gun their own family down. There are few that will, but I can tell you a lot about them. Not many combat types will. Those who will, won't be very effective.
