This is gonna be an unpopular take I know, but honestly I feel like this free for all with words is the cause of the degeneracy and decline of the west. The fact that a man can come up to you and call your mother a dirty whore that he pisses on and you are supposed to just stand there and smile cause "muh free speech" just feels fundamentally wrong.

The founding fathers wrote the bill of rights and the 1st amendment, think they would let someone come up to their face and say whatever disrespectful chit that came to mind?

Fights were common place too. How many regular fights in schools do you think happened in the 1950s in America. How many school shootings?


It is a massive culture problem at this point. Instead of letting out steam with regular fights it just builds up to this point cause fighting is seen as the worst thing ever until someone just snaps and goes shooting. Or snaps gets into a fight but takes it way too far with headstomps.

You're talking about a 1v1 which is fine, but in cases like these i've almost never seen a fair fight. It doesn't matter if a naughty word was said, fights vs these sort of people are almost always out numbered or have someone sneak up from behind.

Well yea cause we live in a society where its not seen as acceptable. So what happens is a mob forms, a bunch of angry shouting, the energy builds and then someone does something stupid and violence erupts.

In an alternate universe the white guy calls the black guy the n word (if thats what actually happened) they fight it out right there and then and that is the end of it. Maybe the white guy walks away with a broken nose or missing a few teeth, now he knows there is gonna be consequences if he just blatantly disrespects someone like that. Next time he will hold his tongue and a fight wont even happen.

Literally how it has worked for thousands of years in human societies and to an extent how it works in the animal kingdom.

I see your point and I agree with you, but I try to avoid conflict as much possible unless someone is harrasing my girl or my family.

There is a huge difference saying racial slur as a joke to a close friend and a stranger, you might even lose your life, what's the point ?just don't do it.

Nobody anywhere thinks or says that a good guy w/ a gun will always (or even usually) beat the bad guy with a gun. The pro-gun stance is generally that it’s better to have a gun so as to at least give yourself a chance against a disproportionate threat.
