He'll do his individual posing routine which takes up more time. Add up all the classes and people who don't belong there and the shows are already long enough. The people who are serious and have been busting their asses for months want to go home, shower, eat and relax. If you're not stage ready...stay home.

i would assume that like most larger shows, he had to place in the top X in a number of smaller, local ones first. If those shows only had X or less than X, he could have technically gotten enough "points" to qualify.

Just like the lady who scammed the Olympics the same way.
