would rather just put some money towards buying the games on wii u virtual console before they shut that down after this year

I'm not upgrading at this point. Sucks Because I would love to replay Paper Mario and other N64 games
-entirely too much of an increase in price, when their online infrastructure is miles behind MS's and Sony's.
-input lag and issues on the n64 games
-no widescreen support


Maybe if they offered gamecube, GBA, and Wii games as well with Resolution bumps (and better yet frame rate bumps) it'd be worth it. But not this. Moneygrab.
Embarrassing when you compare with how MS is preserving older games in their best possible state.

The "expansion pack" for online is a horrible idea IMO. Really only getting a handful of N64 games and Genesis games. It's not worth 'renting' these games when you can get them via other means as in original hardware or emulation systems. The 3DS has OoT and Majora's Mask.

The problem with Nintendo is that they know that the public enjoys playing their older games, but they cannot figure out how to properly offer them to potential customers. The mini classic systems (NES and SNES) were a great idea. But they underproduced them and did not provide enough content. People have been asking for an N64 Classic for years now. Nintendo gives us a subscription based service where you only 'rent' the games instead.

I am not sure that you can say it's about money. If it were about money, then why not provide a classic system that has more games? And when you do have classic systems, why underproduce? Nintendo does so IMO to create a demand in their products. It is more about marketing than about meeting consumer demand. Again take the classic systems for instance. The demand for them was crazy. They sold out everywhere and created a lot of buzz. Nintendo could have produced more but they didn't. Were they creating interest knowing that down the line they would be offering these games that people wanted in a different format (NSO)? This is where I think that they underestimated their name brand.

I tried Pokémon games they aren’t for me.

I’m struggling to defeat the EMMI’s in Metroid! Very challenging but I’m determined to beat the game before I tackle another big single player title!

the first couple of ones took some figuring out but after those I didn't find them particularly hard tbh, still challenging though

you just need to search and find a route where you can lure the EMMI without getting cornered so you can run the route again if necessary until you get a clear chance

hope that made sense lol

It does but they really don’t play fair they are a force to be reckoned with i tell you what. Only 6 hours in so far. How long should the game take to complete?

keep in mind there's a big difference between the clear time the game indicates and actual playtime

I finished it (+- 80%) with a clear time of 13-14 hours, but in my profile it's at "more than 25 hours"

on average I take a bit longer to finish games though, for every game I play I checkhowlongtobeat and in the end it always takes me a while longer lol

The ign walkthrough is helping me. So ****ing much!!!! Pardon my French switch crew but Metroid dread is the best game I’ve played in years. I got my morph ball ability which alone is Worth the price of the physical copy of the game. I’m reading up on is the yellow emmi now. I should have it by Friday 12am est.

I was taking a 3-month rest from this place (of the non-voluntary mod variety) but during that time I went out and was able to get my hands on an OLED.

I know some people were underwhelmed at it when it was announced (no hardware revision/improvements) but if you play handheld, which I do 90% of the time, it's a game changer.

Switch OLED might just have taken the top spot from my beloved 3ds, something the normal-sized Switch never was able to do. Night and day looks wise and it doesn't seem like much to go from 6.2" to 7" but in person and in your hands it's so much nicer.

Strong recommend to anyone who primarily plays handheld. Gave my old Switch to my kiddo.
