I've used a loti over the years. linear stuff, Sheiko, my own. Peaking for meets, I'd start at sets of 10 and work up to heavy doubles the last week before the meet.

I weighed in at 245 when I did the squat in my sig.

I couldn't squat anywhere near that now. I miss it. Powerlifting doesn't get much love on here, but I somehow fell in love with lifting heavy sh!t lol.

Over 2xBW bench is pretty nutty. That's the goal I'm aiming for now because it's currently the most achievable for me.

Surprised you are 30 and still coping. It's just truth of life, price you pay to not be a non-lifting *******. Lifting serious weights wears down your joints and shaves off a few years of your heart. Just the way it is mane.

powerlifting doesnt get much love because the website is called bodybuilding . com

also 80% of powerlifters are just lifters who didnt want to diet or put any thought into lifting and just wanted to lift for fun and not learn proper hypertrophy lifting

the small percent that actually takes powerlifting seriously and can lift more than classic physique amateur bodybuilders and isnt 30% bf, I do have respect for. Unfortunately thats a very small %.

I'll have to trust your scientific response, brah.

13 years in and my joints feel fine. I guess I'll keep waiting.

You're right, it is a small percentage.

I do think it's bullsh!t that so many powerlifters use being a powerlifter as an excuse to eat like a slob. Nutrition is still important, especially if you compete in a weight class. You want as much of your mass to be muscle as possible, not a bunch of fat.

Plus, even if you're a powerlifter, you should still want to look good lol.

My diet has always been pretty clean tbh. I eat according to Stan Efferding's Vertical Diet.

Powerlifting sub forum used to be fun

Remember some sik kunt at like twink dyel status came in and mentioned he just started lifting and pulled 700 somthing. Everyone called bullchit and he posted vid. People look up stats on weight class and records and get him to sign up for some powerlifting comp in UK and he just smashed some records. Was Lulzy.
Powerlifting sub forum used to be fun

Was Lulzy.
I used to browse that place a lot when it was popular.

Deadlifts are crazy because of how much some people can lift if they're built well for them. Like you said, some dude will look almost DYEL and then pull 700+.
negged
Aw fuk bye.
[Img]https://wompampsupport.azureedge.net/fetchimage?siteId=7575&v=2&jpgQuality=100&width=70 0&url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.kym-cdn.com%2Fentries%2Ficons%2Foriginal%2F000%2F022%2 F978%2FyNlQWRM.jpg[img]
Because it's fun and I'm a little tapped, brah.
When you're able to squat that much does squatting lower chit like 400lbs feel light? Like does 400lbs feel the same way that 135lbs feels to a person who squats 225lbs?
Hmmmm, kind of yes. Like, it feels pretty light, but you still know you have 400 lbs on your back. You can just move it easily and know you have a lot left in the tank.

That's why the setup and unrack is so important. It can make or break your squat. I've unracked 600+ before and had it feel like air and I've unracked 500 and had it feel like a house because I wasn't taking it seriously. I generally tried to treat all my sets and reps the exact same to avoid that. If you move all the lights weights faster and easier, the heavy stuff feels better.
